They are okay. The fit is a little wide and when you lock down the laces they actually hurt the top of your foot. Look great though, i still have mine in the lime color way.

The venom run a little small in my view, so with these running big you might want to consider half a size down. Not essential but worth trying out.

Just want to provide some additional insight. I just received my pair today in the same black/pink color way and found that true to size (for me US 8) is perfect. The boot has ever so slightly more length than my previous phantom venoms (also size 8). As someone that has worn the original hypervenoms (size 8) and numerous Tiempo models (usually 8.5 due to older Tiempo models fitting .5 size small), I can say that the GT definitely reminds me of the shape and sizing of older nike models and even changed my opinion to feeling like current nike models just fit lower volume/smaller than older models. The GT's are a great change of pace and definitely deliver that "free" sensation. A true spiritual successor to one of my all time favorites in the hypervenom 1's

Thanks for sharing your experience, I would basically agree with most of what you say, I also find them fitting longer than my phantom Venoms, but to an extent that I could go down a size, but as I said in the video, it's a little bit personal on this one. Totally agree about the shape feeling older, it is built on the same last as the HV1 so 100% accurate there as well, and the free sensation I agree with too, could absolutley be a spiritual successor to the HV1.

I think it just gives a little bit more clarity considering my Initial feelings were that everyone should go down half a size and it seems that only applies to maybe 50% of people. So better to cover all bases.

I think it might be like the Puma Future 5.1. I had to go down to a 9 in that boot, something I almost never do. So much of this has to do with width and foot shape especially since these are not customized products. It’s tough for a review when there’s any sort of ambiguity. You’re being honest about it which I great.

Exactly, I don't pretend to be perfect, give the best information I can with my experience and if more info comes to light it becomes my job to get that info out too. These aren't as obviously down half a size as the future for me, the future there is no question, down half a size I think. However you're absolutely right the width issue does come into play.

Like you my Phantom Venoms fit “bang on” perfect. My big toe just touches the front of the boot and the volume is perfect. I only wish the toe box was a tiny bit wider. With that in mind, You’d still go down 1/2 size down in GTs? Will the mid foot volume be too little? Actually I found the vapors were true to my size (10.5) when specifically when I tried on these phantom boots, they were a lot smaller and too tight. I have a wide front foot, it was noticeably a lot smaller than also my mercurials at home at 10.5 so in the end I went a half a size up and got a better fit. What do you think? The current boots I have are the Hypervenom Phantom 3. Not sure if the 3s are built on the same length/last as the 1s but I would say there is a little less than a fingers length between my toe and the end of the boots. Should I stay the dame size or go down? Altho realistically i’ll wait till the Adidas X Ghosted comes out and try both on in store.

The phantom 3 isn't built on the same last as the 1 it is different. I think if you're close to a whole fingers width of space on the end of the Boot you could likely go down half a size and get a tighter fit.

I have these exact phantom gts , i wear a mercurial vapor and its a size 10.5 , i have a wide foot .. and they fit slightly tight when i wear thicker/ bulkier socks , i went ahead and copped a pair of the phantoms elite in a size us 11 and the fit really snug at the midfoot but extremely lose in front.. i have about a nails length gap at the front , and its not good at all.. i couldn’t believe that going up just half a size would be.. the sizing fits slightly weird and the boots are long in the front..i hope this helps 👍🏼 love the channel btw

You don't want to order a whole size down that will be too small. As I say in the video, based on your previous boots, you should either stick true to size if you have a tight fit currently in your boots or if you have a little bit of room in the end go down half a size. Remember US and UK sizes are different between brands.

Some of the confusion may have stemmed out from the sizing differences among brands. Uk8 for adidas, for example, is us8.5 and half a size smaller than its nike counterparts.

The venom elite has a low toe box so many people have gone up half a size in that boot. So really my same point stands as the one in this video. But overall I'd say sticking with an 11 should work for you.

It's longer than the vapor 11 I would say, best way to judge, if your toes are quite near the end of the 11 then get the same size. If you have some room at the end of the 11 go down half a size

If the vapor 12 has a bit of extra room at the end for you, or just a bit of room you can probably go down. However because you have a wider foot, if you're close to the end of your vapor 12 you might want to stay true to size.

I have tried size 11.5 and size 12 in US sizing and the 12 seem to have a little more toe room but much better feel all around as to the 11.5 having barely any toe room and a very much all around tighter (and uncomfortable) fit. If the 12 feel.better than stick with that. The 11.5 might be what I would describe as a more ideal fit. But if you find them uncomfortable then there is no point getting that size.

The magista ran about half a size small in the opus, so if it's those consider going up half a size unless you have a bit of extra room. Anything else you should be able to go true to size.

However in these boots I have a small amount of room at the toe end, maybe an index fingers amount of room, and when moving around in them my toes get rammed right to the end of the boot. It’s very tight length ways but width is perfect. Does that sound like a breaking in issue, and will it ease up a little around the toes after some use? There is a chance the 8 will be too long. However if the 7.5 is uncomfortable it might not be the boot for you. I would walk them around the house a bit more and if it doesn't subside maybe change them for the 8 and try that size.

I would say that the mercs should fit just fine, they should even fit people with a slightly wide foot. It's only very wide feet that will have problems with the mercs.

I just tried on a tiempo legend 8 elite (clearance price!) in a size 8.5 US (which is my size in puma future z and speedflow.1). The tiempo legend was definitely too tight in that size. How does this fit relative? Based on how tight the tiempo was in an 8.5, would you recommend getting a size 9 in this phantom gt (half a size bigger than my future z and speedflow)? Or does this fit quite a bit bigger than the tiempo? (I guess I could have just asked how it fits relative to the speedflow).

If you have the adidas x in the UK 6.5 you'll be fine with these in a 6.5. I currently have the X in a 7.5 and this in a 7 and the vapor in a 7

Use the same logic, check your US size for adidas, and if you have a bit of extra room you can maybe go down half a size, if there isn't much room stay true to size or if you have a pretty wide foot probably stay true to size as well

If you're talking UK sizes down half, US sizes true to size. These are all based on the idea that your current boots fit quite closely.

The VSN 2 is also slightly long, so if the VSN 2 fits you well I would stick with the same size.
