Personally I don't think other people can't *create* spider-man's web fluid, but rather no one else can *use* it because the g-forces of swinging like that would send all of the blood to your feet and make you black out and fall to your death. Only Spider-man can use it because his blood acts more like hemolymph (the blood-esque thing that spiders have that wouldn't get yanked by g-forces) Obviously this isn't the case because he bleeds like normal and he can carry normal people while he swings but it's just the way I'd like to think of it

There’s a small correction in this video. The black suit did in fact make Peter stronger or maybe it just made him hold back a list but during the black suit saga, there is a scene where he holds up a fire truck and he comments how it’s easier how before you had a trouble picking up a sedan. So he was absolutely stronger with the back black suit.

I have this theory, ok hear me out, the black suit does make him stronger but in another sense, peter hold back his strength consciously and subconsciously, i say the last one because before the black suit arc peter had already messed up big time by not controlling his strength enough (like how he killed one of wolverine's girlfriend), but the black suit doesn't allow him to restrain in any sense (think of it like the berserk armor in berserk)

During Chip Zdarsky's run on Daredevil (which I've read recently), Spider-Man makes several guest appearances (tbh, Spidey's guest appearances in DD is the prime reason why I've been reading DD. I get to read some potentially good DD stories and get rewarded with a Spidey cameo~ Now I love DD). In fact, when Daredevil killed a man, Spidey confronts him and then later confides in him, revealing that he killed someone as seen in Spider-Man vs Wolverine. It's a good scene. Weirdly, 616 Spider-Man canonically gets organic webbing but... I think he gets it twice? He gets it in the "Disassembled" arc in Spectacular Spider-Man (2003-2005) and he gets it again (I think?) in a multi-Spidey-book event called "The Other" (Kaine Parker would later get similar powers from "The Other"). Maybe I'm misremembering, but it's kinda weird how they wrote two arcs where Spidey gets organic webs (among other things). BTW, you have Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) to thank for a lot of "tropes" that people apply to 616. USM is a very influential book. It's why most adaptations have Peter in high school. Or why Peter knows the likes of Harry, Gwen, and/or Mary so early on when he meets these significant individuals in college. Heck, when I think about it, I don't think 616 Peter even had a close friend he could talk to frequently during his High School years, and I read Untold Tales of Spider-Man! (It's not perfect, but I love this book~)

But it was relegated to the symbiote suit and Spider-Man 2099. People dont actually think Peter has organic webbing originally but its becoming a popular opinion that Peter should have organic webbing because at this point and time there is no reason why Peter should still be stuck with webshooters. Especially with all the new powers Miles gets every other issue. Edit: As some people have pointed out Peter has had organic webbing in the 616 comics after he was mutated into a spider and he started becoming more and more OP. the Symbiote not actually enhancing Spider-Man's strength thing can make sense even today, Superior Spider-Man revealed that Spidey intentionally holds back as to not kill his enemies. I can agree to this. The reason why is since the '94 cartoon, that adaption of the symbiote has been burned into people's brain as how the symbiote acts and such with Peter when that was never the case at all. What you described is something that happened in the original comics but no one in the modern day will adapt it which is so sad. I'm tired of seeing the same concept since the '94 cartoon. There's a pretty good story called "Ties that Bind" that adds some depth to the Symbiote suit. It does show that the Symbiote was trying to help by fighting crime while Peter was asleep, but after it notices that was causing more problems than helping, it decides to stop. Unfortunately Peter takes it off the very next day. I think the story you mentioned is the new "Black Suit and Blood" which is a terrible attempt at "adaptation synergy".

6:51 I interpret it as this: Uncle Ben wants to tell him that he has gifts, and he has to use them for good. Not just spider powers but also his intelligence and compassion. For example, being a teacher and helping students like in the J. M. S. run of ASM. I think this more in line with the TASM films and is executed better than the Sam Rami movies, which I’ll admit, does kinda come out of know where. 10:13 Even tho the symbiote doesn’t affect Spider-Man’s powers in the comics, I personally prefer stories where the suit affects his powers and mind, as it gives him in incentive to keep the suit and gives him a better reason to ditch the suit when realizes the error of his ways. I also heard that the black suit ark is a metaphor for substance abuse, but I’m not educated on that so… I think people shouldn’t just stick to the comics with no change what so ever. I think adaptations should do their own thing and while sticking to the core aspects of the story. Comics should be a basis, not the gold standard that when tampered with messes the whole thing up and you ruined Spider-Man as we know it. But those are just my thoughts and opinions, so who cares :P.

I agree with most of the things you said, and all of those misunderstandings about the character, are unfortunately due to the inconsistencies between writers, and how the different reimaginings of the character has handled things, and its one of the reasons why a lot of people prefer Manga and Manwha over Comics, as those forms of media usually have the same writer and artist in its complete run, but that’s not necessarily the same for Marvel and DC, and that’s why they have gotten away with a lot of wacky and crazy stuff, and fun fact the reason why Superman can fly and do a bunch of crazy things, was because of the mistakes that an artist did, where he drew Superman flying and stuff, as when he referenced the past comics he didn’t read them, he just saw the pictures and didn’t realize that Superman was just leaping tall buildings and stuff, and since the artist basically drew Superman flying, the writer just decided to go along with it, and for Spider-Man similar stuff has happened to him too. My favorite version of Spider-Man thus far though, definitely has to be the PS4 version, because he paid homage to many of the past versions of the character, and not only that but I like the fact that he’s experienced, as it got pretty old how the weakness that they gave him for most shows and even the MCU, was that he was an inexperienced kid, and that because of it he couldn’t handle a lot of things, when the character at least in the comics has usually shown that he adapts quickly, and is pretty spontaneous since he comes up with all sorts of plans and stuff, in the moment as he’s executing them, which is why people like Green Goblin have a hard time dealing with him, since they can’t predict against his unpredictability, and the fact that Spider-Man is actually able to make gadgets and stuff out of scraps and junk, is actually a very strong point for him, because he pretty much makes use of anything he has access to, and going back to the PS4 version of the character, I also liked the fact that he took a mentorship role for Miles, and that the 3D model that they made for him was very distinguishable, unlike what they did with the dumb PS5 remaster and PC version, where they really did make him look like a more average pretty boy. I’ve played both the original PS4 version, the Remaster and the Miles Morales PS5 game, and I’ve liked the games and story somewhat, I just hope that the Spider-Man 2 game hasn’t ruined things, because I haven’t heard that many good things about it, and I am still waiting for the PC version, as I am not making the same mistake that I did with the other games, where I played the PS4 version through PlayStation Now, then bought a PS5 to play both the Miles Morales game and the first game Remaster, since I thought they would remain PlayStation exclusives, and then a few months later after I had bought the very expensive PS5 and the games on it, they just come out and release the games on PC which frustrated the hell out of me, since its obvious that the PC version would have always been the superior version, because of the access to Mods and better system performance tweaks, so I basically bought the games twice…

It’s fine if Peter is a nice kid who gets powers and becomes a bit of a jerk due to how strong he is then before he would probably end up a villain, is punished for his attitude and goes back to how he was. There’s still character development and it goes both ways, at first it’s negative then he gets better, more fun for the audience to see him start down a dark path and get pulled out of it in a horrible way, plus you get to see power being corrupting, which can lead to story telling opportunity if you have a villain mirror that but they don’t have an uncle Ben, so they do end up a villain. On your second comment to this guy, you say that the nerdy weak kid shouldn’t be beaten up by his bullies and I have to question why you think that? Like this is standard Highschool fiction stuff, this is normal and I can’t understand why you take issue with this. Peter being a jerk at the start even before he gets powers isn’t bad, but neither is him not being a jerk, both are fine and there’s no real reason to hate the latter, especially because the majority of retellings go that route, all your doing is being a jerk and looking like an old man stuck in old ways, refusing to accept change, nobody’s going to like you and I highly doubt anyone’s going to agree with you.

They end up killing MJ and thinking they killed Peter and throw him in the ocean. The reason why people think Spider-man is supposed to be unfunny is probably because there are multiple people in-universe who think he’s annoying and talks too much, and actually there aren’t many people in-universe who laugh at his jokes. Now that I think about it, comics and movies and stuff rarely show other characters laughing at the hilarious jokes the characters say. My favorite line of dialogue ever spoken by Peter Parker is in the first Ultimate Alliance game, in the Santum Santorum. You're talking to him about something, and the player character starts the classic line about great power, but Spider-Man cuts us off and says, "If you finish that sentence, I'll put so much web in your hair, you'll have to shave your head!" It's not especially profound, but I died of laughter when I heard it for the first time and just kept going back to that dialogue option to keep hearing it. I want Spider-Man in movies and shows to be that funny.

Peter in early Amazing Spider-man is almost always in need of money. In Issue 2 he makes enough money to pay May's rent for 1 year, however this was early in Highschool, and throughout the early run Aunt May is constantly broke and in a lot of medical debt. It wasnt that Peter individually was broke, it was that he was trying to find ways to make money to support the family. Most typically this was selling photos to JJJ, but he couldnt always get good photos and he didnt frequently get a lot of cash out of the photos as JJJ was pretty bipolar about what photos of spiderman he actually wanted.

1. Spiderman used to shoot organic webs for a while in the comics for a whole editorial year. From 2006's "The other" till 2007's "One more day". Also...during the simbiote era after Secret Wars. 2. With great power comes great responsability appeared for the first time on 1962's Amazing fantasy 15. 3.Black suit enhances all his natural talents. Stronger, faster, better regeneration, stronger organic webs and also added camouflage and shapesifting skills. The symbiot also started to took Peter's body out to fight crime into a more agressive way while Peter was sleeping. 4. Sadly, editors ussually gives the worst to Spiderman to keep him strugglin through his personal life because they thing this is the key, and kinda is. But sometimes too much is just too much. Honestly, everytime he hits big times is only gettin ready for a bigger fall when he is at his best. But he always keeps fighting for what he believes is right, and thats kinda the engine of the character. He struggles and makes mistakes, but never surrender. 5. Spiderman is funny for us, the readers. But he is ussually perceived as annoying by other characters because he have a really dumb/nerdy sense of humor most of the times. I avoided writing Spider-Man this way for the whole comment. After watching this video i decided you dont deserve any hyphen separating the spider from the man, but holy Stan Lee knows that you gotta keep em separated.

I think the Spider-Man producing web inside his body is an improvement over the web fluid in the comics. It brings you closer to his character by adding an element of body horror. It also just makes more sense to me as he was bitten by a spider so he should have all the inherent abilities of a spider. It just doesn’t feel right that he has all the abilities of a spider except producing web and has to invent that to go with his other spider abilities. Like what’s to stop any other smart character from inventing web fluid and swinging around besides his inherent strength allowing him to swing. Him producing the web from his body adds a uniqueness factor to the power he gained from the spider bite like you could only truly be like Spider-Man if you were bitten by the same spider.

The biggest thing people get wrong is thinking that Peter Parker is a good person. If you read the comics, that's not how he started. He was an arse. He was a jerk who saw the consequences of making the wrong choices and thus forced himself to make the right choice later on. He's not some noble saint. He is either a jerk learning how to be a good person or is a jerk who learned how to become a good person. Great responsibility did not come right away, nor even within his first four years. He struggled to figure out what that truely meant, the weight of it all. His default is still negative, but he constantly fights against that. Compare that to Steve Rogers, his default is naturally good. This is WHY peter looks up to him. Let me put it to you spidy fans like this: Imagine Flash Thompson, imagine all the negative aspects to his personality. Now imagine flash still has those habits, is still a jerk, but now has a father that he has to make proud, to do right by someone else by being something other than the flash thompas bully that we all know and love. . . thats peter parker. It's also why the 2 become such good friends later on in life.

No mention of how Harry and Peter were not originally childhood best friends, and didn't even really become friends until college? Also, I'm pretty sure that, while not natural, the knowledge and instinct to make web-fluid is a part of his powers. That's largely why no one else has been able to come up with it or re-create it. Though one thing that's seldom brought up is that his webbing is designed to dissolve on its own after an hour or so. This way the city isn't filled with webbing AND no one can get hold of it and analyze its structure. Does kind of seem sketchy to leave people webbed up in high places, though.

I think the normal depiction of web shooting should be, he gets bit by the spider, he can shoot webs, but he needs to make web shooters in order for them to come out correctly. Just so we can still create stories of him not fixing or charging his web shooters.
