You can use France to beat up surrounding nations, feed you land that way, and then after 50y integrate them completely. Iberia would probably be easily yours and you would be the only major colonizer, i'd try to make a vassal or 2 out of spain/portugal and let them colonize for you.

No you can do it if you select the war option in the Treaty event, it makes you DoW with 'Restoriation of Union'.

If you declare that early, before the "Surrender of Maine" event triggers, you only have Reconquest and Humilate CB. You can win the war though, take a good bite out of France and use the Restoration of Union CB in the second war against France. This way you PU a considerably weaker France, making it easier to keep the union.

Wait what, so you need to pick an mission for the restoration? What are the requirements for this mission because i never saw it. I just sold maine to Brittany to not get the event ;P

No, you normally get the Restoration CB through the event: It triggers, if you are England, at peace (without truce) with France, have Maine, before 1450. You then choose to not give Maine back to France. In return, France gets an event with the options to back off or to choose "Time to teach them how to war". The AI (almost?) always picks war. The last option then makes you automatically DOW France with the Restoration of Union CB. In my last game, I declared right away for reconquest of Armagnac and took it and Paris in the Peace treaty. The conditions for the "Surrender of Maine" event were never met, I think. Nevertheless, I had the Restoration of Union CB available when I went after France as soon as the truce expired. Got the PU in war no.2 :)

Yes, that would have been easier, but he has Cossacks DLC activated, so he either needs his allies to trust him or he has to promise land to them. If you DOW that early, there wasn't enough time to build up trust and he cannot promise land to Portugal or Austria (so he only called Aragon in by promising land to them). That's why some players that have a hard time beating Baguette as England decide to just deactivate Cossacks, ally e.g. Castile, Aragon and Austria and roflstomp France into oblivion (hello "One Night in Paris"!) by

AwoudeX The first introduction of tea in England was because of portuguese traders, that were the first to establish a route of trade to China. They brough the "Chá" (Tea in portuguese) in Europe. I think it was Catarina de Bragança, who married the King of England Charles II, who first introduced tea.

I just remembered a weird tip for Hoi4. If you want to survive as Poland, form Miedzymorze and stay Unalighned. (no nazi or commie shit) You need to: 1. Get that idea which let's you invade at 10% word tenssion. 2. Form Międzymorze and get all the baltics. At high word tenssion they put out 20 units each! 3. Start staging a communist coup in Germany and in France (make sure France joined the Allies) 4. Invade Czechoslovakia. 5. World tenssion goes up to 30-40%. 6. Coups fire. The coup-nations join the commmintern. 7. Stupid germany invades the allies anyway. 8. Suddenly all the factions are fighting each other. 9. Take out Czechoslovakia. LOL nope fail to take out the Czechs because of their mountain deffenses. They join the allies and Canada takes over your nation :( Seriously how to beat the Czechs?

In my Byzantium game the AI gangbanged the Baguette so hard that England and Aragon took like 2/3 of today's France (Aragon took a bit of southern France, England took the whole coast). In the same game the HRE has, like, 7 or 8 countries due to some form of shenanigans (every big country was at some point the big daddy Habsburg's ally, so none of that Unlawful Territory bs) and - surprisingly - Poland is intact after kicking the Teutons (maybe that's because of that juicy PU with me)

Played a game last night as England I get the PU on France it was a bastard to do I had to merc up after I kept getting bad rolls, I got about 13-15 loans Frances economy was pretty ruined as well they went up to 2k debt. But lucky for me about a year into the war Burgundy declare war on Province (I think) and that took a lot of the edge off the fight lol. It's now 1509 and I've been intergrating them for the last 9 years, All our debts are paid off and I'm second place behind Ottomans I think Ming went pop! I'm behind on tech a little bit and I started colonising Brazil and the Caribbean it definitely put me behind for a good 20 years when I was getting my economy out of the red and fighting bad events and dragged into allys wars not wanting prestige to get ruined by declining but it's looking good now I also got Ireland as one vassal and Scotland can be taken in one war now.

I allied Burgundy instead of Aragon, by the time I got the mission, I had 10 favors with them so they joined.

You had Aragon as an ally. In the surrender of maine event, which allows you to force PU, Aragon will join in for promised territory if it rivals France or has a claim. (Burgundy will do same in unlikely event it doesnt rival you). Either is enough to beat France and its typical wimpy allies with you. Anything bigger than Hungary requires a restart though.

When I tried that it seemed like France's Morale was instantly at 100% even without another monthly tick. So I just wanted to have that advantage and also be able to call aragon into the war. (Not sure If I would've been able to do so because of the "Restoration of the Union" CB that the event uses.)

This run was a complete mess. You can just see the manpower going down the drain with those ridiculous sieges. He then makes a mediocre peace deal because he hadn't the units. 2:57 losing warscore, loses all fights and units halved, siege of France gets reversed by their units. Basically starts the war with from the beginning but with war exhaustion, no manpower, nothing. But hey at least you got Paris out of it
