Oddly enough, most chinese will have had a basis idea since a very young age. We've been told, spoken to or talk about , read and write since young age. It's instrintsic with our culture. qi itself represent life. Sheng is referred to as a part of life. Fir eg. We speak of a person without sheng. We would literally take it that the person is lost , without life or had lost his directions. We do tend to use these 2 words together at times for a person without sheng and Qi as someone who is weak and without a jest for life. This is my 2 cents worth.

Very simple. Chi is simply the prana/aether that flows in your body

The character for wind 風 is a character and a radical in itself. We see it conceptually as one unit. If you have to look at 風 in radicals, it is made of几 ji [table] and the character and radical for insect is 虫.The radical you mentioned for sickness/illness is 疒 [chuang] not part of the character 風. This radical 疒creates the character 病 bing-illness.

Great video and a simple, yet thorough way to describe the very ethereal concept of qi! You mentioned that you weren't sure how modern people described certain aspects. In my studies, a lot of quantum physics has coincided with these concepts. Have you ever thought of making a video about modern energetics research studies?

These are great. I’ve recently been getting acupuncture for heart/nervous system issues. This Helps simplify TCM concepts.

I love your videos! Keep it up! As a recent acupuncture grad myself, seeing others spread the word and educate the public is very inspiring. :)

I'm shocked that someone actually gave you a "dislike" ...I assume that it's because you admit that you can't describe Qi? 🤷♀️ It's basically "The Eternal Tao can't be spoken because it is 'everything' both Yin and Yang." Try explaining that to someone after they are told to bring their Chi back in balance. 😅

Finally, that Chinese medicine certification coming in clutch. Can't wait till we get a video on how to follow the Dao. 🖤🤍

Tao is not an easy concept to follow even by the Chinese themselves ! It's the same with yin & yang concept. But one thing I do know all these concepts thrive for a middle ground. A balance as in equilibrium is the way. A practioner of meditative Qigong for the past 4 years.

I wonder if you have seen the Qi master that is able to stand on paper and not fall through, have a car roll over his chest and not be injured and heat things up with his bare hands all using Qi that through many years of practice is able to control and harness within his body.
