I feel like NRS juggling two franchises finally spilled over. Mortal Kombat has gone full comic book with the multiverse shenanigans, and MK1 is basically just Injustice now. (Even right down to the Gear System, Character Select clashes, and superhero-centric DLC).

@TheCaptainhowdy11 you do realise that the multiverse concept wasn't inveted for comic books right? I sort of get what you mean, but Mortal Kombat was using multiverse shenanigans way back in MK9 and then really focused on it in MK11, years before the multiverse got so mainstream as it is today.

MK11 is where it all went downhill No coherence in storytelling. Now everyone's a god or becoming one now. How do you even realistically challenge Liu Kang without PIS?? Liu Kang himself shouldn't have even been able to beat Kronika in the first place honestly. One of the inconsistent things that started all this. Everything was better when it was simple

Awesome video by the way some people would think this is a reboot is really not it's another story for Deadly Alliance I don't know why he called it mortal kombat 1 But if you think about it if you played mortal kombat 9 it has all the trilogies in one story from the Midway timeline but telling you in the NetherRealm Timeline because Ed Boon didn't want to change nothing Because he didn't want to upset the old school mortal kombat fans Same thing with mortal kombat 10 it's Ashley mortal kombat 4 story but told in a different timelinealso mortal kombat 11 just to wrap up that story now Mortal kombat 1 is Actually Netherrealm Version of mortal kombat Deadly alliance Because now we are in the dragon king's era

I don't like Liu kang getting killed and the love story with Kitana. I mean in Mortal kombat 2011 he is more focused on princess rather defending earthrealm and then turning him evil this ruins it. And it's not ok because Liu kang should have stayed loyal to Raiden plus he is shaolin monk member of white lotus soceity. Not only in video games but even in movies as well. How can Liu Kang is the chosen one when turned into wraith undead otherwise it should have been highly based on Bruce Lee persona that's it. They ruined Liu Kang so much first with non sense romantic relationship with Kitana and him getting killed,it's not justifiable at all. Liu kang should have known to be better than that. Liu Kang marrying some one who is 10,000 years old is absolutely ridiculous. How people are ok with this one? I don't find it satisfying with Liu kang, story they ruined it. Ed boon gone nuts with this ruining the main character of Mortal kombat as if there is nothing wrong with it.

ah the good old school Mortal Kombat... back when it was so epic and awesome. a shame now NRS & Sweet Baby turned it into Woke-tal Kombat. :) I didnt play the last 2 games anyway because of woke B S. MKX was the last i played, and MK9 was the last good one which felt like true MK

I would say it went woke in MKX and there wasn’t too much woke in MK11 however it reared its ugly head again in MK1. All these silly changes to appease weirdos like SonicFox. 😂😂😂😂

It really doesn’t matter. MK1 Khaos Reigns steals heavily from the Mojo’s world episode of the 1990s x-men cartoon. This MK DLC story pacing is very poor, and its quality (including very obvious DEI initiatives) does not match its heavy price tag.
