I’m one of the few Floridians actually doing everything possible to stay safe. I’m sanitizing everything, always masked up, unable to visit friends... it’s really depressing. I’m also considered an essential worker which is a double edged sword because at least I’m still employed, but I can’t do more for quarantine, and they say get unemployment. I’ll divert that question to people I know that still haven’t been able to get it because the site kicks them off or it says they’re approved and then nothing happens.

Vaccines won't be available anytime soon. It's best to focus on the now, and on keeping in touch with others (while keeping a distance) to make sure everyone stays connected. It's a tough time for everyone, and some are likely to lose what little social connections they may have had. Find something positive and try to laugh every day. Don't let yourself get consumed by hysteric newsreports and social media. Balance is important. I'm pretty bad at all this myself, but I guess we can see it as a great learning moment for all of us.

It's not sure that there'll be a vaccine. Many people show that after infection and recovery, their antibodies against corona dropped way too much. There are reports of people who got reinfected. This best thing to do was to get everyone not relevant to stay home. If everybody had followed that then this whole thing would have been over months ago. When I was 20 or so, I started working at the polls as an Elections official. Let me tell you-----it is ONE HARD JOB. And Presidential primaries are THE WORST. You may think all those little bluehairs and wizened up old guys working at the polls are just slow and stupid, but in reality----there's A TON of stuff you have to know and get right. I was even an "Inspector" at our local polling places for many elections. This means I was the supervisor/know-it-all/troubleshooter. It's a LONG LONG, grueling day. It really wipes you out. The voters (a great many of them) truly have NO CLUE what they're doing. A lot of voters can't even find their proper polling place. After 40 years of working at the polls, off and on, I will *never again* take on that job. You couldn't pay me enough money. I wish you GOOD LUCK if you decide to work the polls. You're gonna need it.

Masks are sexy! Wear them. Wash them daily or wear disposable ones. Watch a quick video on KZbin on the proper way to wear them (aka, using the ear loops to grasp rather than extensively handling the actual mask part). Keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer on you if you’re wearing a mask. If you accidentally touch the mask’s front, use the sanitizer. Wash hands often. Try not to touch your face until it becomes a reflexive habit. Stay safe out there. We can Do this KY. (Tips: Throwing your clothes in the washing machine when you get home is also a good idea. As well as using a plastic bin by the front door to leave shoes after outings until you can sanitized them, to avoid tracking germs into your home. Also doesn’t hurt to wipe your front door knobs/car door handles/steering wheel with sanitizer wipes before/after traveling or going out).
