54:30 I'm not sure if you or anyone else has already mentioned it, but it seems that the withered man who voiced Gilbert Garfield has a massive hole in his head where Gilbert Garfield had his third eye. He's also saying how he couldn't stop seeing things. My hypothesis is that this man is one of the Gilbert Garfields, and that he ripped his own third eye out because he no longer wanted to see into the future. We can see in Gilbert Garfield episode five, Garfield says, "Why can't I stop seeing things?", and in the final episode, the man says, "I couldn't stop seeing things." Maybe this could relate to the loop that Gilbert Garfield was in, and how he finally ended it, by ripping out his third and fourth eyes.

a little lore explanation: (only theories) - the video of the doctor garfield was sent by the legit austen because it's a representation of austen birth itself, since the baby is black. he is probably christy's son and, as he tells us in the apology, he was the new Augustus, then he was made with Augustus dna. - austen had an electric system in his hands (the hand's picture on grintly's twitter) which gives him electric superpowers. that's the reason why he always breaks computers (a phrase that's written in the wall of his room) and why he always wore gloves when he played gamecube (as he says on his apology) - the creature max saw in the lake isn't gilbert's clon. it's a kind of homonculous probably created by faraone too, and it's showed also in the video game; it's like the creature who talked to gilbert in the end of the first level, and the enemies in the, second level? i mean, when it gets like Pokémon. - the three chairs that are in gilbert's room in the finale video symbolize the three clones: Gilbert, Augustus and Ronald. - i think you missed commenting that gilbert, in the end, when he shows us his face, we see that he has apparently no eyeballs. this means he literally took out his eyes because he couldn't stop seeing, a reference to the original tapes.

If there was one, the Soviet project would have broken away from the others when talks between USSR and the Axis broke down. Gilbert garfield is a weirdly fitting mgs boss, and i think its pretty apt that they inserted him into mgs 1 for the arg since mgs involves alot of mega corporations being covers for fucky schemes involving gene engineering/editing that creates cartoonishly goofy shit like the nanomachine vampire from 2 and 4, or robots controlled by child soldier brains in revengeance, or the sexy traumatized war cyborgs from 4, or when ocelot uses gene therapy to convince himself the arm transplant he got in 2 is controlling him and taking over his body with liquid snakes personality so he can subconsciously enact his form of the boss' will by turning off all the guns and the AI that controls the world in 4. even by metal gear standards mgs 4 had a lot of goofy shit. Also this is one of my favorite ARGs out there for it's blend of existentialist horror and the surreal humor that just hits you like a mac truck in the middle of the investigative bits.

Thanks to some newer videos, i dont think Ferone origionally intended to breed any children in the porn shoot. Weve heared multiple refrences in the training to the scientist at Ferone being stressed and dealing with sexual harrassment in the workplace but being encouraged to use sating techniques. We know at least one Gilbert broke free but i dont think the one Max sae in the park is the same Gilbert. He looks considerably younger and more catlike. We also more recebtly got a video confirming that the "asset was secured" by Ferone and seen several different Ferone sites that seem abandoned or even the result of some disaster. Additionally, the training says not to speak about other past sites or employees. In the "Building C" video we go into one of these (building B actually from what the signs inside say despite the video title) and it seems almost abandoned completely. As the recorder, Dove moves deeper, we see some of the equiment disheveled, left open and police tape around. Eventually he gets to where the homunculous are being held to finr the doors open and that they appear unsupervised. There are a few different kinds including a much younger looking one who is much more like an orange act blob in a hospital bed and a whole group of young adults that seem to be having an orgy or masterbation party togehter. They are clearly frantic and acting agressive. My new thoughts are that the homunculous start as more catlike creatures (there is a debunked hypothesis that all living beings start as the same feline-like embreos but become thier species from the environmental impact of the womb. This is what Mew in pokemon is inspired by.)but lose these triats as they mature. I thing what results are Christy's "birthmarks" and the Gilber in the Park with a lot more energy was a younger one. I also think they go through an intense puberty where they become agressive and hypersexual. I think what we observe in "Building C" is a facilty breach where a group of maturing Homunculous have started taking over. I think this had happened repeatedly at different facilities and the porn shoot was actually just an attempt to control this. They were attmepting to satisfy a batch of homunculous with large amounts of sexual interaction with no belief that a homunculous could impregnate a natural human woman. I think Austin was thus considered a miracle child and one to look into but depsite what he thought he was to them, I dont think they ever planned on him being what they wanted. They may have hoped he could work out that way but was just and accidental byproduct of the true plan and was no loss if he turned out to be unsable. I think they mostly abducted him to protect their own secrecy but allowed him to be adopted onfe they conformed he held no true use and the trail on his true origins was cold. I think they just hoped to curb the sexual appetite of the newest cycle intially and that was all. "Building C" further proves how much safty appears to be an issue with the odd posters around. We also get a scene going down a hall and seeing a row of portaits. This appears to be of presidents or CEOs of Ferone but one of them clearly has a third eye in his forehead. This and other mentions of Ferone protecting Ronald Reagen/potentially being involved with other famous leaders seems to indicate they do succeed at times. Most homunculous seem to be culturally inept and quick to degenerate but they have had some successful enough to implant in society anf even potentially lead their own comapany. They have quite a few of varying stages in "Buikding C" but we only have evidence that a very few made it to the end of their experimentation. I think these things have a very high rate of failing at the puberty stage and breaking free or being neutralized by Ferone.

I do think Max is still related to the Gilbert Garfield experiment even if Austin was Christi's child. There are some hints at this biologically with him. He starts to contract lactose intolerance in an abnormally extreme and sudden capacity. It is one of those little known "facts" that everyone knows that most cats actually ate lactose intolerant despite the cliche of them lovibg milk. Despite this and taking lactose medication we see Max still suffering a lot. This wouldn't be such a big deal..except its a triggered condition. The implication thus is that despite his condition and suffering for it, Max is choosing to continue to eat dairy. Garfield has a bit of a thing for dishes smothered in cheese and this is especailly preventant in the dislogue of gilbert Garfield. He even asks Max if he had any complimentary cheese on his trip. It appears these homunculus go through extreme life stage shifts like an intense puberty so perhaps Max is starting to enter a part of the life cycle passed down genticallly. This may even be why Austin did this now and drug Max into it. He mentions how THEY had to wear gloves when THEY played games as kids because THEY had to. The imagry seems to indicate some electric shock would occur. Despite Max being fine with technology for most the series, it seems electronic devices were having some issue at his touch toward the end with the glitching phone suddenly shocking him and his rental car breaking down for no reason. I think Austin realized they both were reaching the end of their life cycles and would face genetic degeneration like the homunculous due to inherited traits. I also need to point out that Austin's last wish is for Max to smuggle a flash drive in his colon..this makes sense from the standpoint he doesn't want it to be confiscated by Ferone..but in reality doesnt make sense at all. The info is just for Max anyway so there is no reason to bring it with him to view there..that seems even MORE risky AND he is driving into the country himself in a rental car on the backroads to somehow bypass border control..so why? I think its a bit of Austin having a bit of fun at Max's expense, being sentimental with the phrasing and drawing our focus on the lactose intolerance thing one more time. This particular method of smuggling woumd be especially convenient for him at the time as it would help curb his ailment on the trip and be more easily retriveable when it was time as a result. As Gilbert even pointed out, he is wearing diapers because of the diareah.

I think you are close but got a major point wrong. I don't think Austin was ever a part of Ferone. If you remember the Gilbert Garfield clip at the hospital, he throws the baby that is clearly Austin, out. I dont think they were making babies to be low level employees. Why would they do that? They are trying to make a perfect leader. I believe all the celerbities that Cristy saw were clones but further, superclones. The one mentioned he could hold his breath for 15 minutes. She also kept refering to their really grotesque birthmarks. We know Gilferd had a thrid and fourth eye. I think what she was seeing were the results at attempts to create more genetically powerful versions of the real deal. Gilferd seemed to be the most successful with a third eye that could see the future and a fourth that saw the past. This created a time distortion to his perception and mental strain due to omnipotence. It also seems he and anyone involved with the clones, like Cristy, started to develop some kind of genetic breakdown. They were defetive and spread this as well, making themsleves and anyone too intimate, chronically sick. This is why they chose people like Cristy for what occured. They realized if they had the clones breed, the children may inherite the superior traits of their fathers but also be more genetically stable as a natural hybrid of a human and the clone. Someone in Cristy's profession at the time, especially with the kind of reputation she had in the industry, would not draw attention for getting sick or having these stories. If she claimed she had sex with all these celebrities and one of them was her baby daddy, but her child was taken, she would not be given the proper creadence or police attention. Further, any illness she developed would be dismissed as an STD resulting from her profession. The baby that resulted was Austin who was just a normal baby. I feel they either discarded him at ten years old when he proved to remain normal or, more likey, knew from the start and discarded him immediately. I do not think Austin actually knew about any of this until recently which is aprt of why he was able to stay under Ferone's radar. I think we have evidence that he was informed by someone of his real orgins which kicked this all off. It was Gilferd. We know he is the most involved with Ferone's actions. I dont think Feroni was actually making the show or games though. I think all the different lost media was Gilferd's atempts to expose the truth. He is clearly being negatively affected by his state of existence and not the one that Ferone plans to be their messiah. In the show, Garfield kills John and destorys the world..in a future crime that aliens arrest him for. I think the aliens represent the Feroni people. I think Gilbert saw that he was doomed to be used and discarded by them. Since he was flawed and even being driven mad, they felt he was a threat more than a god. They assumed he would eventually kill them and destroy thier plans of a perfect world..which he confirmed though his future sight. Gilbert starts leaking hints so he gets the last laugh on Feroni by ensuring his future of being their downfall will occur. He even starts tipping off the child he was a part of discarding. Thanks to his powers, he was the most successful of their experiments and could not be prevented from knowing what was happening anyway, so Feroni involved him. He is shown in the cartoon as the one to do the C section and toss the child. He is likely even the very the reason Austin survived. Feroni would likely want a failed experiment destroyed..and we see Gilbert throw it in the trash..but Austin WAS eventually adopted so perhaps Gilbert instead smuggled Austin to an orphanage to play the long game. Since he can see the future, he would be able to plan all this out. He was trying to secretly set up an unwitting sleeper agent of his own that he could reach out to and get to assist him. Part of the problem is that Truth bungled things up, and Feroni became aware of Austins existence/efforts as a result. This means they grew wise to Gilferd and started monitoring him.. He keeps mentioning he cant stop seeing everything and he cant stop them from seeing him. Somehow Feroni were able to use Gilferd's powers to keep track of him once they knew they should AND see what he was seeing. He couldnt stop himself from foreseeing his own plans, which meant Feroni were also going to see his plans and be able to counter them. THIS is why he removed his eyes. He clearly gouged his thrid eye out so Feroni couldn't see the future. He also makes a bunch of semingly insane comments to Max but some make actual sense given what we know. He tells Max they are both wearing diapers but Max didnt have an eye to pull out of his asshole. Gilbert is wearing bandages over his face because he gouged out his third eye. When he says he is wearing a diaper, it's because he still wounded from pulling out his fourth eye as well. I feel that this is also extra important. Perhaps Feroni could track them with this eye as well but the third eye would seem most important to blind so they cant see the furture..unless..there is still more in the past they dont know that Gilbert needs to hide. I think Gilbert left a lot more clues AND I think he may have saved more children than just Austin. Maybe Max was one of them..? Maybe not? I do feel there will be others though to continue the series. I also feel Gilbert is glad that Max was there because it has become the end of Bioshock Infinates DLC. He ahs forseen the future. With himself blinded he cant update that anymore but niether can Feroni. What would go down hinged on if Max came to see Gilferd and just that event alone confirmed to him that things would go the way he wanted as long as Feroni did not find a new way to foresee his tricks. He mentions he would win the Emmy if he was really him which further confirms he is a clone of Gilbert and very aware. He is still slippping in hints to things but cant strait out say stuff to Max without risking th future changing again. At this point, he cant do anything more himself. It is just a waiting game for him seeing if the dominos he set up go off correctly or if Ferroni puts their hand in front of one. Something we do need to think about though is Truth. We know Gilferd was aware that Feroni would get wise to him and try to save themsleves. We also knew he peedicted or at least planned to stop them and tuen the tables again. ..but then why did he not see HOW they would learn about his betrayal and prevent it? How did he not know about Truth until after it was too late and he was exposed? DID he know but realize it ajd to be this way to make his plan work in the end? Is there something special about Truth that made him immune to Gilferd's clairvoyance? How did he become aware of the cartoon in the first place? Gilferd planned it so it would expose Feroni in the way he wanted and provide the breadcurbs for Austin..so how did Truth become involved? The reallt sad think is that Truth somehow became aware of the show Gilferd made to expose Feroni..which he made because he foresaw they would tunr on him..which they only knew about because Truth found the clues and got in the way..it is a logic loop/self fullfilling prophecy! I think there is more to Truths story than we currently know as well to have played such a pivitol role..seemingly by accident despite there being a clairvoyant.
