Actually it's also because they tend to use digital animation shortcuts which tends to restrict what they can do with the animation. Like if you look at MLPFiM, which was animated in flash and compare it to the movie which was done in _hand drawn_ 2DCGI you can tell the show is a bit limited by its medium. It's the reason the fandom goes nuts every time they see a face that uses (a) new symbol (s)

I had a VHS with a bunch of these animated films in them. Seeing the entrance where your introducing the characters was so Nostalgic to me. I loved the Goose and Mighty Mouse. I've never had the pleasure of seeing Goldilocks and the Three Bears animation though. Thanks for reviewing.

I *love* old and obscure cartoons. There are a lot of gems from decades ago. I personally like the ones from classic Fleischer Studios like Betty Boop and Popeye and Superman, but Terrytoons had some good stuff too. I'm happy to see other people looking at them.

I miss cartoons like these. They had so much anarchic imagination, such great slapstick, smooth movements and great music. Why don't we make cartoons like these anymore? Today it seems like every single cartoon needs to have a plot and character development and stuff. That's all fine and good, but sometimes you just wanna see something fun that doesn't take itself seriously... at all. Where the plot can just be resolved by beating the shit out of the villain. Where the focus is on the imaginative animation, not the plot.

5:17 I'm suprised the same people who complain about a smart phone, or the popular music of that year being in a cartoon makes it seem dated yet also praises a cartoon that did something similar over 50 years ago. I'm not mad about it i just found that interesting. Perhaps people from the 2060s will look back and enjoy the fact a cartoon has stupid pop music from the 2010s and fidget spinners.

This cartoon was first shown on “Mighty Mouse Playhouse” in the 1950’s, but later in syndication on one of the shows including “Captain Kangaroo” but I’m not sure. It was first including on VHS from Children’s Video Library as part of “Fairy Tale Classics Vol. 2” that contains this cartoon which was a TV version minus the theatrical opening and closings.

I'm sure the folks at Terry Toons would've been pleasantly surprised to see one of their obscure, little cartoons getting so much praise and recognition. (Albeit, without earning any profit from it..) Even if it's only for a short time. I did watch the whole cartoon after seeing the meme and I genuinely enjoyed it. This is one of the better things this year so far.
