A question that would soon come to haunt the cherries godly soul. ''What the hell is this?'', the cherry pondered as he stared at what marched towards him. A priest? An apostle? Draped in skin flayed from gods the figure creeped forward, not with the pace of a warrior, but with the ghostly crawl of something hardly meant to be alive, like deceased knight pulled from its final slumber and forced to march once more, yet at the same time with such malevolent intent burning beneath the unholy shadow of its hood. Its very presence seemed alien to life itself. But of course Merg cared not about any of this, as he of course found the apostles 'sick moves' to be of significantly greater intrigue. As its body twisted like clay, Merg was astonished by its dancing prowess, which was surpassed only by its immaculate style. A style Merg would take for his own. In a flash of blue, the cherry's double rippled through its pale cloak, eviscerating the silent unknown within. The drip was secured, and the Lands Between lay in the cherry's path once again, his very step a double, if you will. And so, he treaded on...

fun fact, godskin apostle used to launch a fireball every time the player healed in such a way that it was almost impossible to heal without getting a faceful of fire. He still throws the ball, but there's a delay so that you can dodge it easily, and thank god for that!

FINALLYYYY - There is indeed a boss in post-festival Redmane Castle that drops a veryyyyy nice item you might be interested in. After wards, you can speak to Jerren. - I’d take a look at the architecture and broken buildings in Caelid, especially around Gurranq. It’s almost reminiscent of a certain… crumbling sky land… hm makes ya think. - Sooo remember when I said St Trina’s sword was handy for its sleep buildup for a certain boss? *Godskin enters the chat* - If you haven’t noticed, there is indeed a link between black coloration and death powers. - About black flame in ANY form: it does the usual fire damage but also deals tic damage based on an enemy’s health. It’s percentage based. So basically, it’s VERY good if you’re under leveled and the boss has a massive health bar. It makes it so that even fire resistant enemies get shredded. - That said, the Black Flame Greatsword is the GOAT. It’s slow, granted, but is it powerful and stylish. Highly recommend trying it out. - Wish I could say sooo much more but this section of the game provides a looottt of set up for mid to late game.

MASSIVE kudos for defeating the Godskin Apostle in one sitting, this boss is tough as hell. I had a terrible build back when I fought him, I was so stumped, this guy made me quit the game for a week. Ended up cheesing him with the scarlet rot dragon breath incantation, so again, respect for taking him down so quickly and without any cheese. You’re the goat B)

OH MY GOD YES! YES! YES! By the way the the god slayer greatsword is fater then most colossal swords without it's stagger damage reduced which means it hits as hard as a colossal sword with the speed of a great sword which makes it effective for stance breaking especially when two-handed though it requires faith dex and strength to use and it's skill can be canceled through rolling and it has excellent hyper and it deals blackflame which makes effective against enemies with larg health since the blackflame health burning effect scales of the enemiy's maximum hp(same with bleed) so the higher the health it has the more damage it will take

You mostly finished up Caelid! There are a few things that aren’t super important but might interest you. Theres a catacombs in the north of Radahn’s boss arena which has a few items. And there’s also a gravity sorcery somewhere in Aeonia swamp that I’m not sure if you found yet. (North of the Street of Sages Ruins) Also there’s a very good incantation that you missed at 16:57 it’s somewhere between those guys. I suggest picking it up. The pearldrake talisman isn’t that good in my opinion because the negation is very little, so I suggest keeping on the dragoncrest shield talisman or using the other drake talismans. Also Radagon’s soreseal increases damage taken by 15%, compared to the scarseal which increases damage taken by 10%. Bloodhound’s step is one of the best ashes in the game and it’s SUPER useful in a lot of situations where you have to quickly dodge and run away from things. Theres still a few things to check out and find around redmane castle. Theres a very powerful ash of war that I’m not sure if you found already. It’s along the cliffside behind the castle in a small graveyard. And there’s also a special upgrade item somewhere in the castle. There’s also a few things in Liurnia that you didn’t find yet, including the legendary weapon that is somewhere in Caria manor.. I highly suggest picking it up. And also there’s a night time boss east of Raya Lucaria Academy. There’s also an abductor virgin at the bottom of Raya Lucaria that can teleport you to an area otherwise inaccessible. Also I would still highly suggest taking the other route instead of the lift because the lift is kind of a shortcut and the other route has a fun legacy dungeon. I suggest going to the starfall crater first and enter nokron before you enter the next big area btw. Lastly you should keep an eye on the npcs at the roundtable hold as you progress through the game and enter new areas. They will have new things to say to you. You might’ve already found some of these things but I’m just naming them off the top of my head in case you missed it. Hope this helps!! ❤🍒

The Godslayer Greatword is one of my favourite weapons in the game. It is faster than most Colossal Weapons, does great damage & stance damage, especially when two handing it. It's ability does Black Flame damage which is really good, as it's percentage based & it looks really cool. Faith builds in my opinion have the coolest looking weapons & some of the best.

Hey merg! Just a tip: Some weapons have feint attacks that you activate by pressing the dodge button while charging a heavy attack! They are usually on thrusting sword and curved swords. The attacks basically allow you to attack and step backwards at the same time. Hope it helps!

So you’re finally back to Elden Ring here is what I gathered. At the very start, the place you see at the Crumbling Farum Azula is a very late game area this is where you will see probably a handful of the toughest bosses of the entire game also the leveling isn’t a joke either as you’re supposed to be 100+ to even stand a chance to survive. So you’ve found the second half of dectus and the radagon soreseal, well for the second half once you finish off Caelid you will get to Altus Plateau, while it’s not easy per se it’s more balanced than Caelid and more fair. So I see you’ve tackled the toughest area in Caelid it’s definetly not easy to go through everything in one sitting for sure but if you think the Gargoyle and the Apostle are bad? Well you’ve met the Bell Bearing Hunter in the abandoned shack, but that’s the hardest Bell Bearing hunter in the entire game, beat him(I was going to say you will get one of the bell bearings that give you unlimited supplies of smithing stones but I confused them for the ones you will find later in the game) as the one you will get from this Bell Bearing hunter is an unlimited supply of gravity throwables, but if you defeat all of them you get access to the ultimate Bell Bearing Hunter but that’s all the way later in Altus Plateau so it’s a long ways away. I can’t remember if you came back to Sellia Crystal Tunell but this is the first area where you will find the first somberstone Bell Bearing(you may remember it as this was the place where you were teleported after you killed Agheel). That dragon next to the place where you found the second half of dectus, is an easy way to rune farm as yes that dragon can be attacked but it has a lot of health, but to make everything easier for you use a bleed weapon(you got the moonveil so it’s already easy) as no matter how big is your healthbar one bleed proc can eat away 20% of anyone’s health. If you kill the dragon then run straight to the grace before it gets a chance to die properly you get 50000 runes and once you rest the dragon is still there then rinse and repeat and once you are satisfied eat a golden foot before the dragon dies for one last time and once it does if you eat the golden foot before the death animation concludes you will get nearly 100000 runes. You can’t tiptoe around the game with a low level anymore as everything gets much harder. As far as my knowledge goes you only have a handful of bosses left in Caelid then it’s done. The Gargoyle weapons are okay but there is one later than you get in Altus Plateau which is better than all of them but you will find out soon enough. About the Godskin Apostle well the one you found in the great tower is incredibly tough as it’s also a late game boss and they inflict a damage type called Soul burn, basically you will get hit by the initial damage but then the lingering flame will drain a chunk of your health in seconds. It’s a very useful damage type especially since you said that you are considering to come back to a faith build as they are faith centric. Also I can’t stress this enough level up more as current level you have isn’t enough to tackle the late game as if you want to eventually tackle the DLC you will need at the bare minimum 150 but at the maximum 200. You can do some grinding off camera but I am telling you if you struggled the way you did at Godskin Apostle it was because you were at least 20 or 30 levels under the recommeded that you need to beat him without issues.

The damage negation tear you got gives you 15% damage negation from any type of damage for 3 minutes (Which is more than enough for any bossfight if you are not underlevel), its really good

A couple tips: the soreseal you found specifically gives 5 vigor, enough to outweigh the damage increase it gives you so it's worth it until you get to 40 vigor You can in fact take a shortcut to leyndell rather than collecting the dectus medallion, but it does includes going through a dungeon not too far from the proper entry (which you probably can beat rn) The ash lion claw is easy mode for the entire game, especially on pure str The weird skull fire tanks can be backstabbed and with good timing its a stunlock, or you can also plunge attack on their heads at the right timing and if the terrain allows it to one shot them The huge sleeping dragon can be killed by either killing 5 of her little dragons or by hitting her directly which takes very long UNLESS you use bleed, which your katana has, it's absolutely worth it

Redmane castle does have a way to enter it without using the warp in. Just like head to the main gate and look around a little. And the castle itself is absolutely worth exploring, half the doors are closed off during the festival, and most the enemies are gone, so yeah worth going back there.

Holy crap and I thought your 1 month break meant you stopped playing generally. This just made my morning. Will edit with tips later. TIPS: so you got the godslayer's greatsword, in my opinion the best looking weapon in elden ring and one of the most powerful colossal greatswords, weirdly scales well with dexterity which is not common with colossals and since you don't like slower weapons I should also include here that this specific one is faster than the other colossals. The weapon art is just amazing, it might seem a little too long to use it but if you find a good window and see the amount of damage it does you will love it, insanely good choice if you switch back to faith. Also remember the item you saw in the fort in the small segment with the fire breathing machines? It's an incantation that gives a very good buff so make sure to grab it. Inside the redmane castle you can actually find something extra which may be hard but definately rewarding. That's about it, see ya!

Farum Azula must've been gorgeous in its prime. Yep, if you recall back to your second or third video, you faced a boss called "Beastman of Farum Azula". Radagon Soreseal is one of those talismans you can get right away after starting the game and getting Torrent. It's very worth it to get early on because it helps with meeting stat requirements for strong weapons. After you've sufficiently leveled and gotten enough stats, you can put it away and use different talismans. Godskin Apostle in the Divine Tower of Caelid is definitely meant to be faced "later", but he's beatable early on for legitimately, what I think is one of the COOLEST weapons in the game, and probably my FAVOURITE colossal greatsword out of any of them. The GODSLAYER with "the Queen's Black Flames". So the thing about the weapon art is that yeah it's slow, but it hits pretty hard. On top of that, when you start looking for openings to use it, you'll see them a lot more. Considering it's a colossal sword it'll also break enemies for criticals more often, and you can use it then if you want. The damage gets comparable to a critical at times.

Before ur moving on to Altus Plateau you should explore Nokron , its massive. Just find the red mark its close to the mistwood in Limgrave. Once ur there, go down the big crater with all the floating rocks and shit and soon ur in Nokron. If u didnt know the star that made the crater was a star held back by Radahn, when u defeated him the star fell. U can see it in the cutscene after u killed him. -There are two ways to get to Altus Plateau. I recommend taking the other path instead of the lift cuz its way more fun and there is something at the end of that path. To get there, go to the very north of liurnia through a small river and go from there. Stay safe!

Hey Merg if you searching a weapon to replace the Moonveil their is a very cool weapon scaling on intelligence and Faith. It's an hiden sword in the Caria Manor, North-West of Liurnia (close to Ranni's tower). You just have to go up on the stone bridge in the castle, where you'll find under that bridge an roof with an hole where you can jump in, here you have a chest with this cool weapon! Btw I love all your video 🫶

I think giving the heavy weapon style a chance is definitely worth it. It's nice to have a taste of all the various ways to play. The Godslaying Greatsword is probably the best colossal weapon in the game. Faster than the others, has Blackflame which gives percentage damage (perfect for high HP enemies like bosses), and has excellent scaling.

Tip: Not locking on makes multi-enemy combat easier to handle. Lock-off combat might be a bit hard to get used to at first, but once you learn it, you get a lot of control in the fight Also, stamina management is important. Make sure your stamina is above 50% most of the time, so you don't run out when emergencies occur

In case you don't know, you can jump down spirit springs and not take fall damage, which would've let you get down to Lenne's Rise without dying.

Some weapons have unique movesets such as the flamberge in Redmane Castle and Zweihander in Weeping Peninsula's Isolated Merchant Once you get crazier ashes of wars (even Lion's claw), I really hope you get to use regular weapons due to how versatile they are That being said, somber weapons are great as well but they limit your stat spreads and weapon choices especially with how limited the respec item is Btw the two cart face encounter behind Fort Gael actually has one of the best Faith buff/cleanse, I don't remember which but it's good to have if you ever go back to Faith (which most optimized builds put enough Faith to use this spell) Opaline Hardtear + Damage boosting (for each element) tear is the one of the most splashable tear combinations ever, pop that before a boss and that's one less flask to keep track of. That's also why mono element builds are powerful I may be biased but Strength Faith is definitely the best stat spread. Especially with Godslayer Greatsword, some Rememberance weapons, flaming-infused (fire damage with faith scaling) regular weapons, powerful faith buffs, and a special DLC weapon I'll hold dear in my heart ;) Also Radagon Soreseal is one of the best talisman for early game, especially since the +15% damage is negated by the 5 vigor and the benefits are useful

You do have boluses to cure poison or rot etc without needing to have spells for them. (You can also buy them if you have the appropriate bell bearing or craft them if you have the appropriate cookbook)

When equipping talismans you can see exactly how is your defence affected, you should be able to click a button (IDK what is it on keyboard but it should say at the bottom of the page) which switches the rightmost section of the screen between levels, defences and I think damage or something. So you can see the exact numbers of what the talisman does. (Edit: you can also just go straight to the stats and check all the changes there, you can also do that to see how much you get for example by drinking the wonderous physic)
