I wanted Mo to get picked by us when he was drafted but im so excited we have him now. He has potential to be an elite rim protector still Imo. As for Kai I'm just as excited.
@ruywang71842 ай бұрын
Kai has the highest ceiling imo. Really athletic, rim-running big that Harden has historically thrived with like Capela, Claxton, etc. I do think Bamba will be the backup C to start the year but Moussa and Kai (if he makes the team) could make some noise if Mo isn't playing that well. I can't see any of them being worse than post-injury Plumlee tho, zero rim protection, stupid turnovers thinking he's Magic, and don't get me started on those idiotic reverse dunk misses.

I hope for the first few games we try a bench PF/C combination of Kai Jones at PF & Mo Bomba at C
@andreslancheros28632 ай бұрын
Definitely Mo bamba should be our backup. Let’s also take into consideration that when he went to the lakers he got injured immediately. By the time he came back it was when the lakers went on that insane run at the end of the season to make the playoffs and from the perspective of the lakers coaching staff, it didn’t make sense to change what was working. The guy is huge and can shoot 3s. Hopefully he can commit on the defensive end but right now it’s looking good for the clippers 🎉🎉🎉

If Kai can develop a three point shot, he can be our PF/C and fill 2 spots as a backup

Ibaka and Hartenstien was the Clippers best option to win chip. Zubac has just been healthy and a pretty good traditional big that can't shoot/not athletic.

He should have played harder and be more aggressive .im ok he took his deal good luck in philly but dont trash talk our organization especially after ballmer said nothing but good things on him .man almost dont want to wear his shoes anymore

The greatest addition to the team’s bench is the subtraction of Russ. Despite all the “energy” “plays hard” myths, his atrocious shooting and schoolboy level basketball IQ lead to a meagre positive 0.9 plus minus during his 20 mins of play off the bench. What does that mean? It means that the starting unit has to deliver a meaningful positive plus minus over the remaining 28 mins of the game to deliver the 51 win season. And his damage goes beyond his actual stats which contributed to indifferent results to the game (ie the break even plus minus). He do not see himself as a role player but a superstar who “sacrificed” (which Law Murray confirmed that’s far away from the truth) to play off the bench. So that means all the coaching staff has to babysit counsel him like a superstar every time on why they took him out of the game due to matchup problems, why he wasn’t in the closing lineup despite having better stats than players in the closing lineup, why did we play you 19 mins instead of 20, etc. any treatment short of that will be deemed “disrespect” by his own unrealistic standard. A case in point is his infamous shove over Luka in the playoff despite seeing the team down 16 with 6 mins to go. Yes. When he feel disrespected, he will let his frustration explode and in the case, completely took the team out of the game. A completely irresponsible act. I believe his departure is the best thing to the team this season. Unlike the Russ stans here, I believe the team’s winning should come way ahead of any personal reputation redemption agenda like Russ. In the end, the team (rightfully so) sees Russ as more of a burden to please than a contributor to the team. People keep saying the team bench is weaker because Russ is “more talented” than Dunn. Not true. For a team to function properly, you can’t have a self-righteous wash up whose first objective is to prove he’s still the superstar of old (shooting two threes per game) and the team winning always come second. So long as Dunn makes sensible basketball decisions to get bench players like Norm open look instead of committing stupid turnovers, or missing dunks and layups, that’ll already be a big improvement over Russ. Just in case people doesn’t know, Dunn has a very impressive 3.5x and 3.2x assist to turnover ratio with the jazz the last two seasons, compared to a pathetic 2.1x for Russ. At the same time, Dunn shoots 47% and 37% from 3, compared to brick like 25% for Russ last season. I hope him do well in Denver. But based on his childish acts in the lakers and the clippers, this looks more like his last nba contract by the end of this season.

Keep Moussa, keep Kai, and keep Mo...center by committee...but honestly the Clips would be major stupid to give up on Kai...Greek freaks don't grow on trees and he is special...Moussa needs one more year in the G League or play him consistently in a Ben Wallace role. Remember he had no post game either but he did enuff for them to win...I would keep them all but I would put Moussa back in the oven to work on a post hook, shit, hire Hakeem to do a master class and go from there...but Kai is the guy...him at the 4 please, save Kawhi's knees...
