The Mimic if indeed meant to be the true new main villain of modern FNAF it's a mixed bag for me. On the one hand yay William Afton is truly dead and gone but on the other the Mimic is well...literally just mimicking him so it feels kind of pointless anyway. If the Mimic is not meant to be Burntrap/Glitchtrap I think I might like him a bit more but honestly I'm kind of undecided in regards to Tales' continuity.
@TiredMoonRabbit Жыл бұрын
To me it's a point of intent, William had motives and desires while the mimic doesn't it just wants to kill in a very specific way forever which makes it more dangerous. Also I imagine a couple of games down the line the mimics meddling is going to some how bring William back, I'd that does happen I hope it's executed well.

I think the Mimic is a fine idea for the main villain and it fits the main continuity well, it just sets the precedent for the books having these big reveals that you can't solve on your own with the games. We had essentially no proof for the Mimic in Help Wanted and in Security Breach most of the clues only make sense if you read The Mimic story. It takes the fun out of theory crafting to have the actual answer just be told to you a year after the fact and for you to not even have enough information to figure it out within that year.

FNAF4 - William Afton said to Crying Afton "I will put you back together". FNAF:SL - William Afton asked Michael Afton to put back Elizabeth Afton together. We know William Afton said that to Crying Afton because nobody else would have Fredbear Walkie-Talkie in Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. Michael is there for first time when Walkie-Talkie is already there. And dammit, we know how William Afton's funtime animatronics are very, very technologically advanced. In comparion them William Afton rebuilding his Crying Afton as a robot (Gregory we know) as advanced as book Charlie isn't shocking idea at all. Crying Afton and Gregory look very similar to each other. I hope it's true because it has lore sense and it could give us finallly an answer to a question what is the real name of Crying Afton which would be Gregory Afton.

I still don't find a compelling reason to believe Gregbot. Gregory can see Vanny on camera fine so she's not using illusion disc's. On top of that Gregory's "camera vision" is most likely an actual gameplay element instead of some robotic interface. You can see a similar affect when playing fazer blast or during any of Moon's end of hour attacks. I doubt moon is uploading some kinda night sky into gregbots eyes. As for his age he's not the only one with an inconsistent age. Edwin's age would have him dead in the timeline around 2023 being unable to even be in the pizzaplex (which he clearly was). Not saying that is compelling evidence that Gregory is human, but age inconsistency doesn't automatically make him a robot.
@ImpulseEvan37 Жыл бұрын
I would agree with you if it werent for the fact that its literally static blocking our vision, which is very specific, especially since, like I said, its the same static we see on the cameras. Edwin's age also is not inconsistent at all at the Mimic takes place in 1984, and the Storyteller is 40 years later in 2024 when the Pizzaplex very well can exist, soooooo where is the inconsistency
@agentboi4794 Жыл бұрын
@@ImpulseEvan37 The static blocking our vision can be explained the same way moons stars appearing out if nowhere every hour, gameplay elements. Honestly, at this point I don't understand why anyone thinks the FNAF lore is worth uncovering anymore. It was always at best actively misleading, and it never got out of that 'flailing to retroactively recontextualize everything into being well thought through actually' phase FNAF 4 started. Like, the only thing the lore does at this point is run in circles around the pretty obvious central core. We're past the days of FNAF 2, where lore could help us piece together info about the games themselves that added to and enriched their story, and honestly, FNAF should have ended with 3. Now, instead of adding to the games, lore just makes them worse by what they seemingly choose to omit. Gregory is a robot? Cool! Wish they'd have done something with that or acknowledged it beyond a lazy visual effect in the actual game! Burntrap is a copycat? Cool! Wish they'd have done something with that or acknowledged it in the actual game! The Pizzaplex used to be far larger? Cool! Wish they'd have done something with that or acknowledged it in the actual game! There's an ingame developer who made the games, but not all of them? Cool! Wish they'd have done anything but go 'Nothing might be canon anymore who knows' with that! William was extra rude about killing a kid and they're pissed about it? Cool! Wish we'd get to meet that character and learn literally anything about their motivation or them as a person! William has a new suit now? Cool! Wish he'd have chatted about that instead of being a monologueing jackass! Baby was kicked from the Ennard gang? Cool! Wish she'd have mentioned that in the game instead of it just being easily missed homework, and told us like, why that happened! Ennard is a bear now? Cool! Wish they told us why instead of us just having to default to 'welp I guess FunFreddy is extra spicy so the others let him drive the body'! After FNAF 2, Scott said in an interview (with Dawko, I believe?) that Toy Chica's missing beak was just a design choice. Come FNAF 4, "Why would Toy Chica be missing her beak?" was one of three messages he felt the need to send out during the theorist streams. FNAF was never pre-planned. FNAF was always a lousy retcon-laden mess that didn't bother with straight answers and abused the fact that nobody expected straight answers from it to turn itself into an utter clownshow. FNAF was never coherent. FNAF lore was never anything but a confusing, superfluous, badly written mess, and by now, it has led to the games being an incoherent disaster and less than the sum of their parts.

If Gregory is a robot, I don't think that Michael built him. The wall code says, "Break and mend, I built the breath." I think the first few words are important. Gregory was a robot that already existed (likely created by Glitchtrap/Mimic), but Michael captured him and reprogrammed him, essentially "breaking and mending" Gregory. This explains Gregory's apparent memory wipe and why he inexplicably feels the need to destroy the Glamrocks, like the wall code says, because that's what Michael reprogrammed him to do.

@@johnjordan211 I don’t think this is Edwin’s code. The line about Edwin drawing triangles is cherry-picked out of a list of things he drew in the Storyteller tree. “Every sheet of paper was covered with odd stick drawings and strange symbols that were not at all familiar to Mr. Burrows. Squiggles. Squares. Loops. Triangles within triangles. Mathematical equations, nonsensical ones from what Mr. Burrows could tell, we’re tangled up in the symbols.” Edwin drew all sorts of shapes and symbols. The only thing found on the wall code are triangles. Moreover, the wall code isn’t even “triangles within triangles.” It’s just triangles. Not to mention that it makes no sense how a code written on the interior of the Storyteller tree ended up in the secret replica of Michael’s room. EDIT: I feel like The Mimic (the story) also discredits that Edwin’s symbols actually mean anything themselves, because Edwin was just copying David and the Mimic’s behavior, whose drawings were nonsensical and meaningless.

Great video about the Mimic ! However, I still don't agree on Gregbot here's why: 1 - GGY and the CDs tell us that Gregory is from a Well of Family and that, he has a normal Childhood. Unlike Charlie, were she lost both her parents and had to live with her Aunt, I wouldn't really call that a normal childhood. 2 - Gregory is not 15 during security breach. GGY doesn't take place 3 years before Security Breach. It said in the story that Mary Schneider started around the time of the Pizzaplex's opening, which was 3 years ago. Meaning, during GGY, the Pizzaplex was open for 3 years. Also, the Pizzaplex was not open for 5 years. It was only open for 4, here's why: While yes there are 19 seasons of a quarterly Magazines, there are some problems if the Pizzaplex opens in 2024. The Pizzaplex most likely opens in May since in Under Construction it takes place in May and the AR booth is called a premier attraction. Which means the AR booth is supposed to be something customers would go to during it's opening or close to it. So if the Pizzaplex opens in May, it can't open in 2024, since fnaf 6 takes place in late 2023. and Cleithrophobia takes place 4-5 months before under construction, so that places it in like December or January, Which wouldn't work since FNaF 6 takes place late 2023. so the earliest year that the pizzaplex would open is 2025. Which means that the Pizzaplex was only open 4 years. And since GGY has the Pizzaplex open for 3 years already. That means during SB (2029) Gregory is either 12 or 13. 3- The wall code could just be targeting anyone that wants to stop the Mimic, it doesn't necessarily have to be directed to one person, just one that has the courage to be able to. It also being in Michael's room, I think, doesn't really mean anything. There are a lot of references from the past in SB, having Mike's room there doesn't prove he's alive . Everyone from FNaF 6 is supposed to be dead at this point. 4- The recharge station and the static thing are most likely just gameplay features. The way you recharge Freddy is just more convenient to do the way the game does it. And I mean, in most fnaf games, you die and static appears, it doesn't mean we play as a robot in any of them. I think static appears on Vanny was just to differentiate her from the other animatronics and make her seem like more of a threat.

My only problem with this theory is what is Cassie's role in this? I mean, Cassie could be a friend of Gregory at some point during the time he went to school, but then you have the fact they seemingly changed Cassie's hair color from blonde (the first Ruin poster) to brown (from what we see of here at the beginning of the Ruin trailer). Now this could be considered a stretch, but it does seem a bit random to change the hair color if it wasn't to symbolize that Cassie and Gregory are related in some way. (Also story-wise, it sorta makes more sense for Cassie to be risking her life for her sibling rather then a random friend she made possibly 3 years ago). Do we have any _definitive PROOF_ that Gregory is a robot? Because All I've heard are really vague connections and people hinging on it making narrative sense without providing much substantial evidence. A lot of the static visuals and such are easily explainable as UI elements, Freddy's "you look different" has to do with the fact that he has X-RAY VISION and thus can see Gregory skeleton, regardless of whether it is mechanical, and a lot of other minor things are very circumstantial at best and have little backing. I put less stock in what Tales says than in the games because it's not only clearly super rushed, but also probably written by people who have less familiarity with the franchise than the game developers and hardcore fans, so details are probably going to get messed up. The illustrations often don't even match the written descriptions, so how can I trust that they match what is intended to appear in a game that isn't out yet? 15:00 He's not plugged into or touching any of the ports, he just steps inside.

My biggest question about the mimic is how it copied william afton in the forst place. If the mimic copied william becuase it witnessed the missing children's incident, then: 1. How could it do that if it was more than likely turned off? If it was turned on, wht didn't it attack anyone? 2. Why did fazbear entertainment put it in the saferoom? 3. Why did it only copy william and not the children being killed? 4. What happened to it affer the mci? Where did fazbear entertainment put it? 5. Why does the mimic take on the form of a costume which looks nothing like the costume afton actually used during the mci? Also, why doesn't it mimic william during the events of the mimic stingers? It acts almost exactly the same as it did 40 years prior. Also, the mimic's eyes are orange during the stingers but purple during security breach. Also, if the mimic's story takes place in 1984, then how did the events of fnaf 3, pizza sim, help wanted and the construction of the pizzaplex happen in such a small window of time? That's only around two years. Also, how does a program infect a person's brain? If anything, I'm convinced that the scan didn't transfer the mimic into the vr game, but rather copied it's code and put it into the game. Maybe after that, the copied code was fed a bunch of documents depicting william, and mimic copied it's personality off of the documents it was shown. That would explain why the mimic doesn't copy afton in the stingers or really in the storyteller either. Really, in that story, the mimic is moreso copying david than afton, like matpat explained in his video. My guess is that later on, vanny or gregory uploaded the copied mimic 1 program which was mimicing William into the original mimic 1's code. The glitchtrap virus and mimic 1 are in a way, both the same and different. In fact, this could be why the storyteller tree was taken down, it was used to spread the glitchtrap virus. It also seems that glitchtrap is trying to recreate afton's family by making gregory and vanessa lie to their therapists about their pasts. We know that gregory was lying, so who's say vanessa.was too? Even when not directly under glitchtrap's control, she still fears him. The mimic couldn't have learned of afton's goals of recreating his family by simply witnessing the mci. The mci not being the reason for mimic copying afton also allows for the mimic's story to not take place in 1984, allowing for a more realistic time gap between fnaf 3 and the pizzaplex opening. Also, I believe that the staff bot silo was the storyteller tree, since both are similarly shaped (kind of) and both are covered in colorful pieces of parchment with strange ramblings written on them (in the storyteller it's large pieces of construction paper and in security breach they're post-it notes). My guess is that gregory was taught to act and look like the crying child in this room, and charlie, who was under afton's control, was helping him. Speaking of Charlie, I think that she might be a program created by henry to mimic charlie. That would explain why the mimic's blueprints are in the fnaf 6 pizzeria, and now that program is being used for evil. So yeah, I think glitchtrap is and isn't the mimic, that glitchtrap is trying to recreate afton's family, kind of like mrs. afton in matpat's timeline (although I don't think she's the ceo or anything or even relevant) and charlie might be a program being used by glitchtrap for evil purposes. Sorry for the long rant, I just had a lot on my mind.

Unless Steel Wool explicitly says Gregory isn't a robot, he absolutely, 100% is.

Or hear me out the reason Gregory's age doesn't match because the books are in a different continuity, a very close version of events but not the same. Also parents means two not one. Is tales important yes do some of the events we see in the stories happen in the games also yes but it's not the same continuity it's just not.
@ImpulseEvan37 Жыл бұрын
did you even watch the video? Yes Tales is in the games continuity, its not a different continuity and why are you assuming Michael would be the only parent
@TiredMoonRabbit Жыл бұрын
@@ImpulseEvan37 yes I watched the video and get what your trying to say, but just because tales shares events with the games doesn't mean that the games shares events with tales. By implying that Gregory had parents good ones implies he's a real kid by having him got to school implies that he's a real kid with pre-established history atleast from how I see it (also if he is a robot then he'll most likely be revealed as Edwins rebuilt son or something like that). Tales hasn't mentioned Vanessa someone who is integral to the to this point in time for the pizza plex. Lastly I'm not saying that the events in tales didn't happen in the games timeline I'm just saying the books are in there own very close but very different timeline almost parallel but slightly different, with things like Henry being Edwin or Gregory existing earlier.

@@SkibbutzThere's also Easter Eggs from the Novel trilogy in the Arcades, so the FF's references probably don't matter at all bc the Novels are obviously not part of the games, bc if the FF Easter Eggs are proof for StitchlineGames then it could also be proof for NovelsGames, so that's not actual proof, just references. Eleanor can easily exist in the games withouth StitchlineGames, so the best we can do at this point is agree to disagree and just wait for Ruin and the ending of the TFTPP stories to end to maybe see if StitchlineGames is in fact true or not, or if it's not revealed any time soon ig we'll just have to specalute and wait for Help Wanted 2, maybe even another game, maybe a new Guide book or just confirmation from Scott or Steel Wool (if even that will ever happen), i just hope maybe they do kinda like what Scott did back in 2017 with MikeTrap, Fredbear87, and Purple Guy being literally purple, pointing towards a theory that proves/debunks theories and debates that we are rlly having trouble with, it would be rlly cool imo. @ImpulseEvan37 Жыл бұрын
How do you figure when Freddy literally says All the power is diverted to the recharge stations
@pirusaogostoso741 Жыл бұрын
@ImpulseEvan37 Well, there is no such a thing as wireless electricity and when the animatronics get inside I don't see them using wires on themselves, nor two conductive surfaces touching each other (like copper plates on the floor and in their feet) even if this were the case Gregory's shoes aren't conductive, so, my bet is charge through induction, just like smartphones, and those work in the following way: a generator needs movement to produce electricity, in this case, there is a magnet inside the phone part of a built-in generator, while in the inductive charger, there is another magnet with a matching polarity, the electrical energy from the outlet rotate the magnet on the charger that through magnetism rotate the magnet inside the phone thus generating electricity, and to be honest such a thing powerful enough to maintain an animatronic would consume a lot of electricity. Also, opposite from the water electricity doesn't need to be "released" to flow, it needs to be "pulled" and it is only pulled by a conductive material with a negative electron count and it pulls just enough to stabilize itself, the only case where electricity kills is when it tries to use your body as a bridge to reach said negative electron count material, and it only happens if you touch both the electricity income and a negative count material outcome at the same time without a non-conductive material like rubber in the way

I kinda disagree since the while m afton can be Michael, we can't say for certain as the email was not shared meaning it was not planned to be shared, if it was then we would of got it while FNAF AR was still a thing, quite possibly the last email we'd get after beat a bunch of challenges or something like that. Plus Scott had a perfect ending with FNAF 6 and Michael is confirmed to die in the fire due to the simple fact that Michael didn't know about Henry’s plan as Henry stated and Henry would know that Michael wouldn't want to leave. Apart from that and Glamrock Freddy's identity i agree with everything else, feel free to reply 😉

Bro. Scholastic is just the publisher. Not the writer. Their pov is not really valid. Their statement means really nofthing. And it is expected to have many paralels with the games. For those reasons 1.The stories in the games is just retelling ver of the stories in the books. Of course most of them took in the same/similar places. 2.Books beign canon basically took all of the horror factor in the game,and just degenerates the lore. Since most of them are badly written. And people just read them for the paralels. If they straight up became fully canon,than there is no point about retelling the story in the games. 3.Most of the arguments you done feels forced rather than organic. They dont have to %100 same. Just needs to have significant paralels. FuhNaff's argument is perfectly fits with the org 6 games. Like Sl Baby beign the game-counter part of Mimic and etc. Yours is feels like you trying to fit Trtf lore into Fnaf lore. NotRealName NotAtAll is rewrite a lot of the parts about the books. And is a big critice of them.
@ImpulseEvan37 Жыл бұрын
What do you mean what scholastic said means nothing? They straight up said scott told them to say it was in the world of the newest games and they did. It does not get any clearer than that. Its not what Scholastic made up for promotion, its what Scott told them the books were. The stories are not retellings at all. Nothing in the games is retold in the books. The books provide new story pieces that the games don't entirely explain, showing off completely new, separate events, not parallels
@Vilgax00 Жыл бұрын
@@ImpulseEvan37 Yeah,no. Longest Scott himself not confirms it in a sociall media,its will considered as a specilation. The books are to badly written to be a canon for the Fnaf lore. All they did usefull so far is the give us concepts and ideas about robots and the lore. Adding them fully turns fnaf into Trtf. And you know how Trtf lore is. What you said so far is feels like its from Trtf. Not fnaf.

Bro idk what more you want. Scott literally told scholastic to tell everyone that Tales is in the games, and you’re just feigning ignorance. And your opinion on the quality of the story does not matter, especially when most people actually love most of the stories, including me. Just because YOU think they’re written badly, doesn’t mean they’re in a separate continuity. Your opinion on quality doesn’t effect the canon. And wtf is trtf
@Vilgax00 Жыл бұрын
@@ImpulseEvan37 No bro. Thats how it works. Scott is not saying anything about it,so ıf things go to south about the books in the future,it can easly revert back. Thats how marketting works. They saying its canon without making it actually canon,so it will sell more with little risk. What ı am saying is, just because YOU think they are canon is NOT means they are. You can consider them as canon for your theories,ı respect that. But straight up telling them they are canon as like a fact is absurd. Most of the people dont even read the books. The the ones who reading have a mixed view on them. Trtf is short for The return to Freedys. The lore of that game is equally ıf not more ridiclous that fnaf lore with books. İts also published its own book. You want good story telling? Than play Dsaf. A good story telling fan fnaf game about Purple Guy and Jack Kennedy. And its awosame. Especially the endings.
