I used it all last league on CoC KB Nimis. Build had enough damage, Lightning Coil made it way tankier. Also had 96% phys taken as elemental through other sources on Cyclone Nimis Fireball Pathfinder. It's a really strong stat. Was full immortality with Eternal Damnation + transcendence.

You cannot get phys taken as ele via Aisling/Veiled Orb. These mods are exclusive to Korell (Helmet) and Gravicous (Body).

the part of "unless your jug". max ele res still matters the most, jugs get so much phys reduction that its usually only ele mitigation that matters, and max res is more importent then extra armor in that scenario (and unbreakable). like any jug with determ on will by default(almost) have 50 k armour and 4-5 endurance charges. for an example with the usual pathing out of jug in life, taking juggernaut cluster and soul of steel with a 2k bodyarmor and some mid roled other items would be looking at +30k armour, just from that

Dawnbreaker will be my shield for my Trickster next League. For right side passive tree enjoyers who dont need block, this will be massive. Combine it with Lightning Coil and stack some max res. mabye later on even CI and you will get super Tanky while running full Evasion and ES. Playing a Claw build aswell, so insta Leech will be a thing :)

The body armor mod is Gravicius mod right? I don't think you can Aisling or Veiled Chaos it, so you either drop it naturally and fracture it, or use the crafted version.

I was thinking about taking Strength of Blood with the new 10% instant leech as a defensive layer this league. Never had a reason to go this route, but with leech not entirely disabled I think it could be good. Also with a good replacement for the mana nodes by using a timeless jewel next to them I don't see a downside when taking the mana mastery

I'm planning to start a TR pathfinder and I pretty quickly realised my first SSF priority is going to betrayal farming in low maps. Both the Phys taken as ele and the minimum charges crafts feature centrally in my defensive setup. If I get the catarina helmet or some of the more useful offensive unveils, that's even better, but they aren't as important for me.

My take on the mana reservation mastery is it's GGG's way to make people take some kind of a mana wheel to ease mana problems. It may allow you to level up some flat mana reservation auras like precision and choose some other prefix on jewelery aside from "- mana cost", since its easier to sustain your mana with a bigger pool/some more regen

Most European countries use a comma instead of a decimal point in math. Possibly Australian as well but not sure.

Long story short, molten shell is only nerfed if you have less than 40-50k armour. The 10k absorb often was over kill and the 5k absorb will still be overkill. The nerf was the 20% if armour to 10% because it means the lower armour builds can't get high value of it anymore. Which is fine because steel skin is still competitive but the cool long duration of molten shell will be missed

did a chieftain 2 leauges ago with 100% of physical dmg taken as fire dmg.. still felt like shit because spellsurpession is in the game. you spend all the energy to get some mitigation ageisnt phys and still die to some sparks from white mobs in a no dmg modded red map becasue you dont have supression.

Your videos are great, one of my favorite poe creators, but i wanna give a little criticism. It can get very tiring/fatiguing to listen to without any brakes in the talking, i understand that it gets the videos to be shorter but i for ones have to stop the video many times to get my ears to relax. That is just my view on it and others might now feel the same, i just wanted to highlight it, not meant in any way to be rude :)

the problem with molten shell is that every other guard skill is so fucking bad in comparison. Steelskin has half the duration and less maximum dmg Arcane cloak only works for a archetype that no one plays Immortal call has 1 sec. base duration, needs +2 max end. and charge generation wich is a lot harder than stacking armor. if they keep nerfing MS people will just stick to steelskin or not even use any guard skills anymore because it's not worth trying to meet the requirements for them to be usable.

grace and deter reservation nodes took 2 for 25% of each, mana reservation takes 3 nodes for all auras for 12%. honestly not that big of a nerf in terms of reservation.

GGG doesnt get it. People used molten shell even if its absorb was not the capped 10k or something just because the alternatives had like half of its duration why should you go for steelskin and invest 165 str to get 1,5 k absorb for 1,5 sec if you can slap on determation and get 3sec duration and 2k ( 10k armor just with determination)absorb while the gem itself doent even need to be leveled

If the game has feednack, via no death replays and reduses to teach you anything, then damn right we should be allowed to have skills like molten and grace. softcore or not I don't know whey they think its fun bashing our head against a wall. Threre's no learn by trial and error in this game if the game never teaches why you die. We're allready attempting to stack 5 auras just to stay alive, why do they think we do that in the first place? it's not even a case of optimising the fun out of the game, its being pushed into a corner because there is only one solution around their badly designed game.
