As a black Briton, I remember watching it in hospital with some nurses & we naively shed tears, that our bi-racial sister Meghan, had been accepted into RF. I loved dress with 54 flowers & fauna of The Commonwealth countries exquisitely embroidered. Music was fabulous & I giggled way flamboyant US baptist black pastor took the white British aristocracy 2 church, as we say! He audaciously reminded them of slavery. Bit risqué. Never b forgotten!

I’m not a fan of his, but Michael Curry’s presence at a wedding of an American to a British royal made sense. He’s the head of the Episcopal Church which is essentially the Church of England, in countries where the King is not head of state, like the USA. From a religious standpoint, Curry is to the Archbishop of Canterbury what, say, the First Minister of Scotland or Wales is to the Prime Minister of the UK. That said, I thought Curry definitely should have taken a moment, read the room, and dialed it back a few notches.

QEll didn't "refuse" to go to C&C's wedding. The CoE advised against it given her role and they all devised a alternative which consisted of the lovely wedding blessing (a wedding in all but ring exchange) which, despite The Crown's depiction, QEll very happily attended and enjoyed. Not to mention she approved the union and lobbied the Church and Government for law changes that allowed it at all. Ironically the very same laws that paved the way for Harry to marry a divorcee. Harry probably would of preferred the quite intimacy of C&C's services.

It is disgusting how Harry gloats about wearing his beard in uniform for his wedding. Let me tell you River as a 4th generation military family whose spouse served for over 20 years with several deployments down range- IT IS NOT THE DONE THING. It is considered disgracing the uniform to wear a beard, as offensive as wearing a uniform wrong, soiled, tattered, or sporting a rainbow mullet on your heard. Soldiers or any serviceman or woman would never be allowed such an exception. The fact that Harry went over everybody's head to get permission from the queen is the height of offense and makes sense why William was incensed. The queen made a grave error allowing Harry to offend the uniform like this. She effectively indulged a nepo baby whilst her armed forces saw that she did not hold her grandson to the same standard they must all follow. It is a blight on the wedding for anybody with a military background and was not the queen's finest moment. I can only conclude she wasn't in her full faculties to have caved to her grandson's petty desire.
