I love your emphasis, not only in this video but also your others, of how its okay to be rich. Money isn't the root of all evil, but also not necessarily the end goal either. Getting over the mental hurdle of money is evil and people who have money are evil allows one to move onto to the paradigm of money is value, and how can I provide value to those around me and to humanity. Love it Sorelle!

The story of Jim Carrey's father is a lot like the first part of this. Carrey's father wanted to be a comedian but was afraid of the risk. He played it safe, became an accountant, and was still fired eventually. He then worked in a factory and (I believe) a janitor. All work has dignity. But, Jim Carrey's life lesson was that we "can play it safe" and still lose. So, why not just go for it, take the risk, and pursue our dreams instead? The "safe" play isn't all that safe and many people let it crush their souls.

Dear Sorelle! I've been feeling the need to say thank you for quite some time now. I've been following you eversince you shaved your hair (which I did too), and through this time your message really gave me hope and inspiration. I've been to some very dark places mentally since being a teenager, always an outsider, being scared to show myself, being scared of my dreams and ambitions. You became a role model to me, someone I really needed. You keep surprising me with the direction of your content, always moving with me, staying relevant and raw and helpful, giving so much. When I started watching you I was a scared 19 year old girl lost and confused, and as you grew I started to grow as well. It took crazy amount of work of course, but you being a brave and also(!) a beautifully vulnerable woman on her own journey showed me a direction that felt right. You showed me it's okay to be a rebel, something I really needed to hear for a long time. Also congrats on your new channel, I love it so much! I have to learn so many things about the business side of life, and of course you came out with this whole new content when it was so much needed. So if you see this: thank you. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work, and stay cool, even if it means sometimes being uncool. Love from Hungary, Mira

First, I love that jacket and I might make myself one like it. Second, Responsibility is so important. I feel like I had a lot of balance between safety and risk. My parents always taught me to have a backup plan but to strive for the more risky entrepreneurial ventures. Sometimes it is frustrating because I just want to make it to the success and don’t want to be employed but my parents set me up well with my “back up plan.” My biggest thing is to have multiple contingency plans but staying an employee forever isn’t one of them. With writing, most people who stick at it for ten years get published. I don’t intend for it to take that long but it might. In the meantime I’m pursuing other things that will give me the freedom to write.

The part about how risk is perceived really hits home in context of the past year. Many people lost their previously “safe” jobs. I didn’t, because mine is considered “essential,” but observing all of this has really made me think about what I would do if I didn’t have a job that was deemed essential, and if I’d been furloughed or laid off. If I, my husband, or both of us had lost our jobs, we would have had to declare bankruptcy and lose our home - which we’d just bought last year. It’s one of the things that’s kicking me into setting up my LLC and diving into entrepreneurship soon (in addition to the fact that I’m tired of my job and do not want to do it for much longer; can’t see myself being in any “traditional” job for more than a couple years each, to be honest.)

It makes me cry, every time I watch one of your finance videos - seeing how aligned they are, with giving me the guidance I prayed for, regarding what’s taking place, in my life; as well as reflecting what I’ve already, life-long, intuitively known, about finances, success, and creating the ultimate self-fulfillment. And this coming from an autistic psychopath (lol, seriously - I’m not being facetious; I’m in process of pursuing diagnosis, currently). However, I’m the kind of “psychopath” [that’s an informal term], whom is what I like to refer to as “clinically happy.” I tend to see the positive, in EVERY and ANY situation. Which, can come off as lacking empathy, to many. Especially being, I tend to not grieve, for very long. Though, problem solving is the only way I know how to be of emotional support; to others, as well as myself. Plus, it’s for my own well-being - as “psychopaths” tend to have the ability to turn off whatever emotions they don’t find necessarily effective to feel. If I allow myself to “feel” empathy - because of the home environment, I grew up in; as well as having a sensory processing disorder - it makes me physically ill, and sometimes, like I’m going to pass out. Even the aforementioned overwhelming emotions, I stated I feel when watching your finance videos, and the relief and confirmation such guidance graces me with - can cause my vision to fade a bit, and to feel a bit nauseous. Though, hey! At least, this turns the whole “You make me sick” - into a compliment.. 😉. My point being, in sharing this last bit - not all “psychopaths” are out to prey on others; in disregard to their well-being. I’ve been in entertainment, since I was a teen - working with people who trained people, how to be in front of the camera. I know how to scout, for talent. Which, makes sense, I’d be so good, at this - Hollywood is filled with “psychopaths,” who work behind the camera. However, I’ve never intended to work with someone - if my intended success, didn’t included them achieving equal success. Sure, I meet people and right away start accessing how we could professionally work together - because my goal has always been to build a platform, for people to build a successful and sustainable livelihood, doing what they are passionate about. And I don’t develop emotional attachments. Doesn’t imply I don’t care, about the people, I develop relationships with. It simply means I am not emotionally driven, to be their friend. Which, once I’ve learned how to navigate through all that - allows me to be a better, more honest and integrious friend; allowing me to refine those I choose to connect with. However, I do connect to people that cause me to FEEL a specific something - inspiration. I am absolutely fascinated by people - EVERYONE has such great value. Being an autistic psychopath can feel very empty - even when I’m, literally, wire to be happy. Because it can be lonely and exhausting, at times; always having to “mask,” in the manner I’ve had to. So, when I meet people who catch my interest and evoke inspiration, deep within - I always know there’s a divine reason, behind it. I may be a person who’s completely logically oriented. However, that doesn’t imply I am not a person of faith. I, simply, call it - logical faith. Simply because other’s doesn’t not understand my logic, doesn’t imply it isn’t relevant. Though, I’ve definitely had to learn where to draw boundaries between professional, personal, and sexual - ESPECIALLY working in Hollywood, being a hairstylist, and my life surrounding rock n’ roll. Yet, it’s all prepared me to be a better business woman, in all the areas, I am pursing. Also, I’ve always had the gift of being a “people-collector” - like “psychopaths” tend to do. However, most of the people I’ve “collected” have been hurt, like me. I always see something of myself, in them. If I am going to be a public figure - which, in turn, develops into a role-model.. I must lead by example, and love myself. And if those people are a reflection, of myself.. Than I have a responsibility, to love them, also. Simply because I have problems with empathy, in the traditional sense - doesn’t imply I lack compassion or am apathetic to the well-being, of others I pray I get to have a conversation, with Jordan B. Peterson, one day, on such a subject. I believe him and I would get along greatly.

Respectfully, this is silliness. Of course wealthy households redefine risk-they’re not facing the consequences for failure or miscalculation which poor ones do. If your business fails and you’re wealthy, it’s disheartening and embarrassing and potentially cramps your style for a while. If your business fails and you are poor, your kids may not get the support, food or medical care they need.

Being rich doesn't make you evil, there are plenty of good ones out there trying to better the world! But it's also important to know when people say "eat the rich" they are referring to class inequity and the influence bad wealthy people have on politics, our environment, industry and quality of life to maintain power. People like Jeff Bezos, Darren Woods, Doug McMillon all negatively impact our way of life. I've learned a lot in your videos so far, can't wait to start putting it in action! :)

My teacher taught me; The 'easy way' = the hard way. And the 'hard way' is actually the easy way. i.e Waking up early each morning to do ones morning practice of exercise/meditation etc is hard in the moment, (very very hard some mornings! :P) but in the long run leads to great physical and mental health so is actually the easy way, compared to not looking after ones health and having to deal with the (extremely) hard consequences. Those difficult moments of doing the 'hard' way are fleeting but the difficult life of doing things the 'easy' way is much more drawn out! :o Similar mindset to what you're describing i think. :) Thanks!

How can we be sure that this is worth the purchase? For some of us that cost isn't cheap, and we have hopes that it will be more than a phantom of hope and not just more abstract concepts that lead nowhere. I have hope, but I do want to know if it's not just another wealthy individual's professional allure that's leading us to add more wealth to your income and less to ours.

Thanks for this reminder of the positive sides of entrepreneurship. I have had my small business now for a year and for the last half a year it has been struggling to make a profit. But I would still rather take the risks of working for myself and developing multiple income sources by myself than solely depend on a company to provide for me.

"Success isn't about what you know, it's about who you know" Nah, not true for everyone. If someone is not pretty and charismatic, they're gonna need to heavily rely on an abundance of knowledge to build their foundation. People don't know how far apart we all really are in this journey in order to gain our fortune. Some advice or quotes just don't correspond well in the perspective of others so guys, take advice from quotes lightly.

QUESTION! Hi=) I realy appreciate the massage that you send forward, I wanted to propose some video topics: how to separate your families budget and your own - cuz my older sister who has her own kids have joined budget with our mom and dad. Also how to work with inheritance? How to deal with your parents wanting to live near you, when you don't want to live in the same city (or even better) or country as them?

Keep the videos coming, they are highly educative. The most valuable insight for me is the show me your network and I will show you your net-worth... As a lone wolf I struggle with this BIG time!

Absolutely love this channel. The last one about your parents watching Dave R and Kiyosake (sp) really hit the nail on the head. You are so right without being at all divisive!
