Amen 🙏. Definitely God speaks through His word and through His servants. First and foremost I thank and praise God for his love, guidance and goodness in responding my questions and prayers. And secondly I thank pastor David for being an obedient and faithful servant of God. Thank you 😊

Excellent message about prayers. I recently connected with a HS classmate from 1968 who speaks about prayers often because she, I and another classmate support one another because we are 74 and struggling physically, all three of us. Having this encouragement is very helpful for all of us.

"I love the Lord because He has heard [hears, listens to] my voice and my supplications [prayers]. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2) I love Him so.

Lord, I intercede on Jason's behalf and lift him up to You. May You remove all fears, doubts, anxiety and worry that is blocking him. Cast out all the swords and shields battling in his head, his heart and his spirit. God, empty Jason of himself and fill him with the Holy Spirit. Renew his mind and allay his fears, Lord. I pray, if it is Your will, that we can have a conversation on Wednesday 8/21. And if it is not Your will, please then close this door for good. Please pray for clarity, direction, discernment, faith and patience over me as I enter into 3 days of fasting and prayer at midnight. Thank You, Jesus, for the lifetime of blessings You have bestowed upon me and those I love. Please do a miracle here and bring Jason and I together so at least we are in the same team fighting our battles. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen!

Most of us would carry on and ignore what was to be, after all he hadn't really seen a sign until the very last time, and even then he was barely impressed or confident this would be it. Yet I had to imagine to Elijah it was a sign. During the over 1,000 days of drought it was unlikely they even saw anything that resembled a cloud, so when the servant saw a small human hand (perhaps resembling Elijah's in folded prayer) Elijah knew, not once, not twice, but 7x and more God will come thru and do as He says He would. It's a wonderful capitulation of what Jesus reminded us to do, stick with it, stay on it, don't give up, even the pests get their prayer answered by kings, how much more so when God sees your diligent dedication will He himself not reward such an effort to carry out His will in the 1st place? Too easily we get lazy, soft and comfortable, beyond our comforts and preferences, and we give into temptation and give up. No marathoner finishes the race that way. Get back up, at least get walking, and then jogging, then running and as you get to the finish line in sight, sprint.

Spurgeon was genius - it is amazing how far we who were once considered a devout God-fearing and following nation have fallen into the hands of evil and apathy, sleep and slumber will not get the job done.

small clouds small tokens how do we measure up? A growing dissatisfaction with the present state of things that would be a BIG 10-4 - Roger - check An increasing anxiety - passion - desire for the salvation of souls I look around and for the most part it is not what I see, at least not everywhere there are pockets here and there yet (the remnant) but for too many it's I'm good, my own are good, carry on with the routine, and let's not trouble ourselves with sharing what we know is good and ours, with others. So I cannot check the box fully on 1, can you?

the doctrine of each individual Christian "fully felt" with such convictions carrying one out to action - this will not happen until the mentors - the pastors lead the way in example, and when they are apathetic, so are the people. When they are more concerned to coming home to a nice posh house, a well-paid salary check each week, and having a good time more than they are then leading their own home in the ways of God, such vision of good will not be translated, only a watered down version with a shell of the original form. Be nice kids and that as far as it will go maybe. Few American pastors can identify with the sufferings Jesus endured for us in our place, realize, appreciate, and transcend them as into our own daily doings. Few, very few. Many say they will give an account, and they will, yet how shocking and embarrassing will be the replay moments of the movies of our life, when given the chances and opportunity, the many failures. That will be a grief where only the mercy of Jesus can wipe away the tears of our lost ones, (people we may have genuinely liked) - friends, neighbors, family, and our last opportunities.
