I never stayed at the Dewa but have next door at VJ'(now called Vayna) about 3 or 4 times, the Tropicana (back when it was pretty overrun with hard-partying Russians {my GF at the time was Ukrainian }, and the Amari (now called Emerald Cove) Totally agree south Klong Prao/Kai Bae Beaches are my favorites too! The only place in SEA where I will willingly pilot a moto, best way to wander around and explore the East & Southeast side of the Island. lots of cool stuff that's only accessible via a moto (sometimes I've had to push) unless you had a serious, super short wheelbase 4X4. Good times to be had, hope to be back sooner than later! Cheers :)

Travel around Thailand is not easy for the unvaxxed. We had a retirement visa and we were in Phuket it was beautiful for 7 months. Then we realised we couldn't travel around the country freely unless vaxxed. We went to Mexico for 5 months where we travelled easily no testing no quarantine no worries if unvaxxed. Now we're still travelling freely in other open countries. We'd love to come back to Thailand when it's open properly. There are now 30 countries open completely. Mexico had 31 million visitors in 2021 so good luck Thailand.

Not True... many of the people who travel with us in our videos are not vaxed. we show the procedure for them to show the ATK test. MOST places don't ask for vaccine cert. Take it from people who actually travel here. Just do what make you happy and don't make excuses. On a side note Mexico has it's own set of problems too. I do love Mexico though.

Having talked to expats who live in Thailand, or anywhere in Southeast Asia, they have pointed out the main difference between North America and where they now live. In North America, if for some reason, you are unable to work, you have social assistance to help you get through your ordeal. In south east Asia you find a way to make a living or you die. Plain and simple. The North American social system may seem to be an admirable way to help out but I have seen a lot of abuse with some having no desire to do better. For many people within this system it is not their fault but others, not so much. It's the old adage. Is it better to give a handout or a hand up to help those achieve their fullest potential. Work ethic provides a sense of security and pride.
