I have a question about portfolios/reels for motion design if you're still a beginner (which I am). While building my portfolio I've noticed that a lot of my animations are projects from courses, since I haven't worked in motion design yet, so I decided to make some personal projects. But what I'm struggling with mostly is creating the assets for them (photoshop or illustrator files). I'm not very good at it and I don't want to use files from courses or tutorials. I thought about maybe getting free assets online that anyone can get, and animating them myself (Example: Freepik) Would that be ethical or okay to do? I'm worried that in future jobs I will be asked to create the files for the animation, and I'm very weak at it cause I'm focusing on the animation part and getting into it would be very time consuming and honestly it's not something that I enjoy doing. Any advice or ideas would be immensely appreciated.

Hi Patrick I would think about collaborating with an illustrator. They may want to see their work animated and they could also potentially offer it as an add on service to their clients. Let me know what you think of that.

@@MotionHatch it actually didn't cross my mind that this could benefit the illustrator as well! Win-win for everyone involved. Thank you!
