He apparently beaten them so hard that Demodands never attempted to go against Marraenoloths ever again, including their god. Evil fey are a bigger pain than expected. Imagine if a lich found out about the value of those shoddy souls. Everyone's boss appears in the monster manual somewhere.

23:32 "That and the fact that Hags can only have daughters, never sons." Depends a bit on what books you choose to include or exclude. In 3.5e Unapproachable East they introduced the playable race called the Hagspawns. They are the male children of hags, half-human outcasts feared and hated by normal humans. They are big, strong and hardy, but sullen and ill-tempered. They carry much resentment inherent from their monstrous parent, which is often further made stronger by the distrust they receive from common people.
@krispalermo81335 жыл бұрын
3.5e, male hag children ? Just make it a half fiend and change out their bonus character class level bonus spells to fit the theme. As for all of them being Neutral Evil, it is just so hard not to be that way. Check out AD&D Ravenloft: Van Richten guild to Hags. It is a must read.

@@Nionivek Doppelgangers are a thing, but I don't think they are associated with hags? I could be wrong though
@kyachdistent13012 жыл бұрын
@@Xargas Doppelgangers are cool but an evolutionary annoyance. Their categorisation as a monstrosity, like with an Ettercap makes little sense when they're humanoids, just of a monstrous type. They look alien-like yet can apparently be killed by normal weapons. Do they eat humans and other good beings or not? Their lore just says they prey on people by killing them to look like them at whichever point they choose, but don't go beyond why? How and why do they operate the way they do? I like them, but evolution/lore wise, they are profoundly unsatisfactory. Now an association with Hags-i.e. having them be the result of MALE children being birthed by Hags screwing male humans and Elves (not Dwarfs?), is an extremely sound idea, and one I'd adopt, which would explain many things, certainly why they're cursed to forever look weird, ugly and off-putting-forever doomed to never join the society they came from, yet only grab a part of it through stealth magic and subterfuge. It would explain their strong hit points, and also perhaps their only average intelligence and weak ability to grasp more than a victim's surface thoughts they need to emulate in looks in order to fit in to a society they can't naturally be a part of any more, which would explain further their ever-pressing need to 'fit' into society the only way they can-by disguising completely their utterly gross and subnormal visage and body, something surely only a Hag can be guilty of when seducing/raping a human or Elf male when the Hags themselves are in their illusory form.

I always figured that, while Devils are certainly a threat to the multiverse, Demons are the far bigger danger, because Demons, while they can claim souls and turn them into more Demons, Demons can just as frequently spawn from nothing but the Chaos of the Abyss. So, if the Abyss was somehow wiped out at some point, the Devils would certainly be dangerous, but the forces of the upper plains would no longer have a reason to tolerate their existence and, in a combined effort, be able to ultimately wipe out the Devils. So, in my campaign settings, it's always the case that Asmodeus is purposefully keeping the Blood War going on forever, while he schemes to conquer the multiverse behind the scenes.

Especially her provisions for helping him become skilled in Arcane magics. Finally meeting her real countenance was an epic reveal for me. "What can change the nature of a Man?". Such a multi-faceted question. Your own answer, depending on how you play, may surprise you in the end. :)

Now I want to make a campaign with a Lich as the BBEG just so that The players can go to the bazzar on hades and bump into him, and not be able to fight him cause the night hags won't tolerate it.

HEY. HEY HEY HEY. NO apologies. I do NOT mind, and am sure many others do not either, that the video was long. Just means more absolutely thrilling lore. And on Halloween, I'd have been far more disappointed if it was only 5 or 10 minutes. GREAT video, man. Job well done. Happy Halloween 2019, Rhexx!!!

Longer videos means more information and I'm a sponge for this stuff. Keep 'em coming 👍

This video actually gave me the perfect plot point for a Dread Domain campaign I've been trying to craft off and on for the past year.

Hey! I am on campaign where I was raised by a Annis Hag, and my character is Hag themed, and I really liked the two hag videos you did. Waiting for the next hag themed videos.

I like the idea of an adventuring party being hired to prevent a hag child from being turned into a hag by just constantly interrupting the hag ritual until the original hag just gets fed up and leaves
@ccjesper Жыл бұрын
Like just gear up with spells and items that help you track the hag and run away, then just pelt the hag with rocks whenever it settles in for the ritual

As a teenager back in the 1990's I found that it was scary that I have met or had to deal with people/ women that seem to come strait out of the monster manuls, well then again, the monsters were write from our human behavior arch types.
