Thanks for sharing! Great honest info. Does the tune come in the box for the ecutec or do you have to send your car information to Edelbrock and wait for the custom tune before you install anything? I currently have a TRD intake, Trd catback and FT86 speed factory UEL headers. Greatly appreciate your response. Thanks, Chris

I got the eddelbrock supercharger, had to get the D box Smoothie and then a custom tune also. Quite a few kinks to work out, including a leaky supercharger from summit racing, which was exchanged at no cost (other than additional labor out of my pocket) but all in all I'm very happy with the kit. @jameslowry32083 жыл бұрын
the clamp you are referring to is actually the worst option to use. it uses a screw to draw against a ribbed band. that ribbed band actually cuts into the rubber over time and causes the clamp to fail prematurely.

@ahtoomians4 жыл бұрын
fellow edelbrocker, interesting video but a few disagreements. fuel pump and injectors aren't necessary unless you're pumping e85.. not sure why you're saying they're mandatory. mine runs perfect on 91 octane, stock header with custom dyno tune. At about 55k miles, 10k of those with the 'Brock. power comes on at 2500 rpm which is highly noticeable in daily driving. yeah it's easier to bring the rear out with the power but i think you might have screwed up your suspension a bit with the sway bars, totally unnecessary.
@frsguy53474 жыл бұрын
if you have a good tune and exhaust the pump can't keep up and the stock injectors will be maxed out... or like I say my pump was bad... so stock may support 240 hp but not 300hp safely...
@ahtoomians4 жыл бұрын
my tune is great, dyno tuned by Zach Tucker who is the ft86 tuning wiz seems like. 260ish whp no problem, though I forget what type of dyno it is. Although I’m in CA so the header is untouched. Just a cat back for me. 100% stock fueling. 300hp plus is asking for trouble with the engine on these but you only live once eh?
