having empathy for your co-parent is the foundation for reuniting with your children--And you can have a relationship with them again. It is always possible. You can use this link here to schedule a call with my team to discuss this further (www.consciouscoparentinginstitute.com/strategy-session/) & we look forward to speaking with you soon.

Good luck trying to figure out who the offending parent is and then we have the issue of more trauma as the courts can’t figure out who is toxic!!!! How many times have kids been put in harms way some died once even with them parental supervision the child was allowed to see the father but the social worker had to be there well he brought the kids and it blew them all up killed them she smelt gas so this so-called parent should have a right to their children I don’t agree in rare circumstances there are some people that are so sick they should have no access to their children and those children should be in therapy mandated to deal with the loss of that parent!!!! I do not agree that every parent should have access to their kids when they’re that sick!!!! Then you have parents that are molesting children that’s horrific to know that those kids are put back in that situation but the worst part of it is the experts can’t figure out who the sickos are and we need better ways to figure that out and we need more research in that area too!!! The worst thing we can do is push these children into harms way. And kids sometimes are confused and pick the unhealthy parents that’s not you know doesn’t mean that that kid is in the right so they say the kids should choose well we need to take that into consideration but we need to make sure that that child has not been coached to pick that Parent.

Well said. Now here are my questions: 1. What do you do when the division of child services to whom you have reported this, lies to you stating they do not look at psychological child abuse and refuse to investigate? 2. The Judge refuses to report child abuse and goes out of their way to order it. 3. The sheriff refused to write a report. 4. The local police refused to engage. 5. The SBI refuses to acknowledge child psychological abuse. 6. The FBI, again and again, hangs up on you when you are trying to report child psychological abuse. 7. The APA refuses to answer questions on the separation of parents and children in family court. When you ask people to pick a lane and parents who report this with all of Dr. Childress's work and recommendations but you keep get shot down. What is a parent to do after they get demolished by every rejection? I am currently in contact with the FBI, and they are acting as though child psychological abuse is a non-issue. What would you recommend to them?

this is where our program the Custody Resolution Method comes into play. That is a complex question with moving parts that require much more in-depth support and assistance in navigating the complex and corrupt family law system. Of course, your children have aged out of the system so they're not going to respond to you or help you. You will have to shift who you're showing up and attract your children back to you.

Hi Dorcy. I love what you are doing to educate folks about PA/child and spousal abuse. Do you think that it would be beneficial for a severely alienated now adult child to recieve from their mom this video and others like it? My kids could possibly be D I D.. Dissociative disorder because of the extreme alienation. My daughter doesn’t seem the same. she mimics her oldest sister who is 18 yrs. older than her. It’s heart breaking to witness.

@dorcyprutertv 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Blue, your child is not aware of what is happening therefore sending this is not the solution. Your authentic children care about you and only you (despite their words or actions) and thus it takes the Chosen Parent (term I coined) to learn how to show up differently to attract their children back. You can schedule a call with my team to discuss your specific situation and steps moving forward, link below to schedule. www.consciouscoparentinginstitute.com/strategy-session/

A nice video, thanks. When we go into the mental health community or the family court, the controversy about the urban term 'Parental Alienation' is not the same controversy. Its controversy in the mental health community of psychologists and the APA revolves around it needing to be conceptualized in a way that ensures it can be reliably diagnosed. While Gardner's observations and identification of the phenomenon deserve accolade, he obviously took a wrong turn in his misconceived devising of a new condition. Even so, it took someone of Childress' particular mix of experience to neither adopt it, nor dismiss it, but to point out the misconception and take the trouble to reconceptualize the phenomenon in scientific terms. In short, there was some 'junk science' in 'parental alienation', but there are no grounds for labeling AB'PA' as junk science. Do you happen to know whether Childress is completely satisfied with the DSMV in this regard? When it comes to the controversy surrounding 'Parental Alienation' in the family court, does this really stem from the flawed science in the original conception? Even if it did, thanks to Childress' AB'PA', that criticism no longer has any basis. The family court only exists to sanction the terms of divorce, most especially custody. If, as you suggest, family court has hijacked the mental health community, and that the domestic abuse 'witch-hunt' crowd have hijacked the family court, would you not say that the big strategic question must be whether ending of the forensic psychologists' scam will be helped or stymied by the domestic abuse brigade?
@dorcyprutertv
@dorcyprutertv 3 жыл бұрын
1. I agree that Gardner got so far and then took a wrong turn. 2. ABPA is what Childress sued to help bring everyone into a single unified voice and then 3. Putting it back where it belongs is child psychological abuse. A competent mental health professional could diagnosis using already accepted contracts without ever using the term "parental alienation." 4. I can't speak for Dr. Childress and what his beliefs are about the DSM-5 so you will have to ask him. 5. The controversy stems from Dr. Gardner creating a new form of pathology and wanting to be an expert, then all of the other experts jumping on the bandwagon instead of looking for what is right under their nose. 6. The domestic violence advocates are also noisy and everyone wants to end child abuse, and yet none of them are looking at what is actually happening. 7. It is the craftiness of the pathogenic narcissistic, borderline pathology on both sides and their ability to create a red herring, a strawman argument to deter from the solution. If everything stays in chaos nothing gets solved. everyone remains relevant and employed. So the system is infected with pathology from the top down on all sides. The solutions happen when the PARENTS speak in a unified voice and demand change and a pathway forward. As long as everyone is fighting, the solutions in not available to everyone. So while everyone is pointing fingers and blaming they never look inward and change and so the cycle continues.

What are your thoughts on the book "Divorce poison?"
@dorcyprutertv
@dorcyprutertv 11 ай бұрын
It is based on the old Richard Gardner mindset, and I never think it is a good idea to write a goodbye letter to your child, which is one of the main things I hear people talk about after reading the book. As a formerly alienated child, I find the lack of unconditional love for the child in this space from the "experts" very off-putting. As a parent, it is our role to clean up our side of the mirror, so to speak; it is our responsibility to figure out what is happening, understand our contribution, shift how we are showing up, and recover our family. The child is following the lead and influence of the parents, including the emotionally cutoff parent, and the answer is not more cutoff. Most "experts" in this space have one of two perspectives: their own as a targeted parent or their own as an allied parent. Some are just simply clinicians with no personal experience; these prospects lack the immense depth of empathy for the child that is required to solve the problem.

I'm confused about the statements children can't be diagnosed with personality disorders. Depression Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) Conduct Disorder (CD) Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Tourette Syndrome
@dorcyprutertv
@dorcyprutertv 4 ай бұрын
Those are not cluster B personality disorders like narcissism or borderline personality disorder, if the child has those symptoms then someone is influencing the child based on their parenting. Ie. if the child is showing the symptom display of a personality disorder then we have to get to the root cause, is it mom, dad, or both. Once the diagnosis and cause are determined then you solve it.
