My oldest Barnabas just turned 8 on July 7. He’s a lazy boy and I spend all the time with him. Because I know that number of life expectancy for a Bulldog. Then my baby Atticus turned 4 in March. It’s so good to see you back.

Adorable gang! ❤ my bulldog had that skin issue and I was giving a spray to put on it from my vet! The hair eventually grew back but it took months!

That’s really good to know. I wish you had the name of the spray.

We had that alopecia issue almost 2 years ago with our OEBD/EBD Mix female when she was about 18 months old. We changed her diet to raw right away; it happened in the fall of 2022 and it eventually filled back in in about 4 months or so. Knock on wood that it hasn't come back..... After changing her diet, we started getting her bathed about every 6-8 weeks as well. I didn't know if hearing this helps with information you have, just wanted to share. Her littermate/brother we have as well and he doesn't have that issue, but he get's those head shakes/tremors. We had the vet do tests and such when it first happened at about 18 months old as well and it scared us to death. The vet concluded that it was those Ischemic Head Tremors and do not cause any concerns or health issues. Do any of your bulldogs get that? We find that if we give him something else to focus on that is treat related or even a little peanut butter, it resolves; he doesn't get it often and seems it is infrequent more than frequent. In January, we got an Pure Breed EBD who was 2 years old and she only weighed in at about 44-45 pounds. To us she is very small and her previous owner got her as a baby from a breeder in Alabama; we live in Alaska. Everything seems great with her other than she get's an occasional head tremor as well. Glad to see you all doing well.

We actually already filmed a video about Head Tremors. It’s scheduled to come out Aug 11th. ❤️

My bully, Otis, developed flank alopecia in April and my vet recommended 6 mg. of Melatonin twice a day. Within two months, I noticed his hair had stopped falling out and the bald patches were covered with peach fuzz. Getting into the fall here in Georgia and Otis has his beautiful coat of hair back...guess no need for the cute sweater I bought him!

All our bulldogs have had this. Their hair fills in during the winter , I guess after a full spring/ summer of sun. Then falls out in spring. My one boys hair filled in this summer, our other boy has what looks like the Nike “swoosh” on his side still. I do think I am going to try Melantonin this winter .
