One may be qualified for the job, but the company also goes by looks, attitude, degree, chemistry, experience, community service, or at times companies are just seeking to upgrade their folder of what they are looking for in a candidate so they gather all of this information. A job post may be there for a long time and in the end no one gets hired for that particular job that was posted 8 months ago. A position can be there for many years and not get filled because of "certain" qualifications that they seek in a future present candidate. It's the right look, the right experience, the right degree, at the right time type of thing. But the lady in the video said to apply to all jobs, and this is helpful.
