useful info.. i had a broken clutch cable once , but it was when i tried to take the motorcycle out of my garage.. if it were anywhere else id have been in a really bad situation. this always scared me. now i feel a bit relieved. okay what if its the accelerator cable.

Good timing brooo,just an hour ago I was in a same situation.my bike's(Royal Enfield) clutch cable was broken in the middle of traffic and then I somehow managed to get the bike back to home about 3km,with the same technique.

what if the clutch cable breaks between gears...?? you would no longer be able to get to neutral and then eventually the bike would have to stop either because of traffic or for some other reason.. now the gear would remain in that position...Once the bike stops you will not be able to start the engine again as it is in gear... and the bike would not even move forward.. what should be done in that case?

Only the clutch cable is broken, not whole system. The cluch liver is still their on the engine cover. Pull it manually or with a small metal rod then change the gear..! U r done. Try to understand the basic mechanisams of each part of ur bike. It is not a rocket science at all...

Sir what if accelerator wire stuck in high rpm. Like my pulsar bike accelerator wire stuck to full acceleration. I switch off engine. Put my gear to fifth gear. Now i start engine . But it's a worse condition

My clutch broke today... Had to push bike for 2 kms (avenger 220) ... If only this video was uploaded yesterday!! Edit: i had a pillion with me so couldn't leave her back and yeah pushing wasn't possible.

Manoj Chauhan this isn’t a safe way that too when you have a pillion, not easy to control the bike without clutch and more over it is not easy to shift to neutral when you need to slow down, the engine stalls and your bike stops suddenly.

The throttle cable on my Dio snapped once, when I was going at its top speed. Luckily it happened right next to a official service centre (literally) and I was saved from the hassle of calling a friend to my aid
