I'm really surprised nobody has even touched on the hose that doesn't detach on the bottom. That's what was clogged on mine and the only way I could clean it was to attach my shopvac to the attachment hole on the head and suck all the debris out. Worked great after that.

Just purchased this yesterday used it this morning filled it to the second to highest level with water after using I noticed none of the dirty water was in the dirty water tank and yet all the water was gone from the freshwater tank and as I was cleaning the carpet was getting carpet boss as I was going back and forth after watching your video possibly I didn't have everything closed tight but where did all that water go if it didn't go back into the dirty water tank.

@@erod97 Means you did it wrong. Ensure the trap door is closed otherwise suction won't be happening.

@@abowden5079 No, the spoke to a representative and realized that the belt is missing, which is why is wasn’t providing the suction for the second tank. They’re sending a replacement.

1:38 It's easy to miss an important part here - The two plastic pieces on the foot of the machine fit together a certain way, the one on the bottom has three little holes on the front of the machine and the piece on the top has three little handles that fit into the holes. If you don't insert the three handles into the three holes "before" you put the top piece on the bottom piece it won't fit together correctly and you'll get no suction due to the vacuum hole not aligning properly.

It took forever to suction the water: I have used 3 full tanks - and dirty water tank suctioned less than half of that amount. The stains definitely look better but I used also a new detergent so it could be the same result with my Big Green machine.

My green push/release buttons-- when attaching the first large plastic piece , one suddenly isn't retracting all the way, rendering the piece crooked and affecting suction.

This is not a helpful video. I’ve checked everything listed and spray is still not working properly. Initially, very small amount of liquid seems to be pushing out of the nozzle, but there’s a big air bubble, the water dribbles rather than flows, and eventually nothing flows out. I suspect a clog in the line, but I need help understanding how to unclog this system. I can’t find any useful documents online. Bissell isn’t supporting email support and phone lines are backed up - very frustrating. If anyone has any useful information, please let me know.

NOPE. It's none of the things addressed in this video. Because, gentle reader, you've ALREADY checked these things, several times. You've begged. You've pleaded. You've promised your first born to the God of Carpet Cleaning if the thrice-accursed thing will just WORK. Shall I tell you what the problem REALLY is? It's that little red trap door in the uptake tank. You know, the one you've forgotten about--the one that flips up when the tank is full and needs to be emptied. Lurking BEHIND that little red door is a filter screen--it is clogged and needs cleaning. Clean that MFer. As if blessed by unicorns and magic fairies, your lost suction is now restored.

@@gvaldez03 Same. I've looked everywhere. Mine just has a floating device that stops sucking once the tank is full. Thing is, I havent been able to figure why its stopped sucking up water all the sudden. Do you have any updates on your case?

Vr4018 yes, all the hair and fibers from the rug were stuck in way in there...I had to remove the cover cleaned it thoroughly with the tool that comes with it and washed it with hot water. This helped suck up some of the water but not all of it. I made sure first and triple checked everything because the machine is new and only used a couple of times. My rugs looked really clean after I finished which is what I liked about the machine in the first place.

Am I holding the button on the handle the entire time to get proper suction or just going forward and release them pull the vacuum back. Seems like it isn't sucking up as much pulling towards me if I release the button.

Hi Chris - the suction is always on when the cleaner is turned on. Pressing the trigger only releases the water/formula. We recommend walking forward to spray formula and walk backwards to suction up the dirty water.

My dirty water container is not filling up with water? I’ve already cleaned everything out and followed instructions like ensuring the rubber side emptying hole is sealed etc but I wonder if it’s the ring where accessories are attached because one black rubber ring has 1/2 missing. Please advise because I already bought new rubber belts. Thanks

The tube running from the back down to the foot section may have rips or holes in it. I assume over time from tilting forward and backwards it eventually gets damaged. Thats whats going on with mine. Now if only I can figure out how to take that tube out so I can repair it and put it back in, I'd be very happy lol

Sharon Rae ya I just bought this less then a week ago it's the biggest pos ever. First time using it No suction doesn't work. The handle doesn't lock in so I go to pull or push it and the handle pulls out the water tank Flys onto the floor smashing into my foot. It's complete garbage. Plus no water comes out underneath-not talking about the pos squirter hole I mean underneath while cleaning. So glad they just ripped me off $350 forget this.going to buy a rug doctor .
