Last year. My shin-tzu/terrier found a nest of wild rabbits and was bothering them. One was injured I think. But they did look newly born. I put the baby back in nest with the others and covered them up. They looked new born or 1 week old. Next day I checked on them they had been moved. I was hoping they’d make it. This year the best is near my back door. The bunnies look 2 to 3 weeks old. I keep my dog away. And just keep an eye out. Now I know mom feeds them at night I’m relieved. We found them because my dog found them and was “playing” with one. We got it away, checked it for injuries- none, found the nest and returned it to its siblings. There are three. So far they are thriving. We avoid going into the yard for now.

Thanks for good info. My dog got into the nest and I couldn't get him fast enough and he killed 2 out of 5 and got the nest fixed up with out touching anything and put the nesting back together with a small yard tool and left them alone. They seemed ok all day. But im hoping she will be back to threw the night to feed them. I had to berry the other 2 with flowers in a paper towel.

I have a nest of bunnies in my plant where my bed of flowers are. We came upon it seen a hole dug then couple days later was filled in. The mother put dry grass fur, sticks and leaves on top...

@@kellylandry8398 well that afternoon it started raining and got cold I was wondering if the mother returned before the cold rain. Went out the next morning noticed that one baby was gone and the other 2 was dead. So sad and mad and the same time. She didn't come back soon enough. Uggg 😢

ugh i found a baby rabbit nest today in my flowerbed while i was watering it. i have been watering my baby bunnies and didnt even know it! i hope i didnt drown any when they were newborn. also, when i found it, the bunnies ran away into the rest of the flowerbed. i tried to put them back but they just ran out again so i left it alone. i hope they will go back on their own and that i didnt freak out the mommy. i know the mom is around because i have seen her jump out of my flower garden a lot when i am outside. should i be worried??? i guess i have to be careful when i water my flowers now.

My dog found a nest yesterday & I managed to get him to drop the baby he dug up. It seemed uninjured so I got it back into its nest with its brothers (2 more I think) but my dog is miserable knowing they’re in his yard and I won’t let him off leash to go find them again. Hoping mama bunny moves them… otherwise I’ll probably have to call animal control to come rehabilitate them and release when old enough. I don’t want them being killed by the dog but I also don’t want to have to move them… I wish I could keep them ❤😅

My sweet pup took out 2-3 babes yesterday. The nest is under my deck to the point I would have to take apart the entire deck to get to it. Not sure what to do. Very sad, they are super cute and my dog thinks they are chew toys.

Last week I was out walking somewhere and a rabbit jumped out from this lawn I passed. Did I come across it's burrow or it's nest?

Need some help. My dog uncovered a nest of rabbits and injured one. Had cuts on front paw and one of back legs. I am not sure if it is ok. Wildlife people did not want it. Should I put the injured bunny back. (I havnt disturbed the nest much). Only thing I did was put the rabbit back.
