I love the smart bunnies. They were waiting in the recreational areas for the tourist to come and feed them. They know when the dinner bell is gonna ring. So smart.

I would love to visit Rabbit Island!! They look so cute. ❤ One tip about rabbit petting (I have two rabbits as pets!)-they prefer to be "groomed" or petted on their foreheads! It's where other rabbits groom them, whereas their backs are where predators can grab them, or are nipped by other rabbits or mounted. (P.S. Peter Rabbit was so cute!!)

Thank you for taking us with you to this magnificent island! My own rabbit hopped over to watch the video too. So enjoyable and relaxing that I'd never want to leave. I appreciate that you allowed us to enjoy the quiet beauty and sounds of nature with subtitles rather than commentary! I'll watch this again.

I visited this island around 2016 or 2017, and definitely the port of Tadanoumi was a lot less built up back then. It's a loter nicer now. However the ferry back then was a lot bigger. Hopefully with the return of tourism in Japan, they will reinstate the bigger ferry. The bunnies depend on tourists to feed them, and the tourists depend on ferries to get there :)

Pet bunnies need the exact same food as the wild ones, a lot of health problems and even death comes from these "pet bunny foods" and people think they are fine, because pet stores and manufacturers don't care

Japan was nice for a while but living there would be too big of a change for a westerner like me. Japanese people are some of the most racist out there and you will forever be gaijin in their eyes. People don't really tell what they really feel about things because it wouldnt be "polite". Also the humour is so different to what westerners are used to.

How awesome ...had no idea about Rabbit Island. ....my husband and I love The Japanese culture so much. Watch alot of videos and docs, books on them ..etc. I love how clean they are, do everything so close to perfect as possible. So loving of everything in nature, and the profound respect they have for life and everything in it. Esp their strong resilience when horrible tragic things happen,There have been so many. disasters from mother nature to man made, pure devastation. They just seem to ban together as a whole, starting from scratch, they work hard, repair and do their best to heal🌱🙏God bless the ppl of Japan.. 💕

Japan used to be an evil empire until the end of WWII. The USA helped rebuild them and allowed then entry into theirs and western markets. The same with Germany and Italy. Makes you wonder why go to war in the first place....

The rabbits reminded of the one I had as a pet when I was a boy! I almost cried. A unique Island situation in a unique setting. Also, I thought your history of the once hidden poison gas storage buildings was very interesting and the link to WW 2 as well as the USA's ammo dumps for the Korea war. All wars are horrifying as is the end product - broken families by the sad loss of life.
@pmlm15712 жыл бұрын
The end product of the Korean War was freedom for South Korea, with families free to be intact. South Koreans are free to speak and act as each South Korean sees fit. North Koreans are slaves--that's how all of Korea would have been without those ammo dumps on what is now lovely Rabbit Island. War=Bad is a mindless statement. Is the war in question a Just War or not? That is, are you literally defending your life or are you the aggressor?

This place has very good vibes. A nice protective place for wildlife and a good repurposing of land from a troubled time. Peace has won over violence here. Do be careful of the wild boar. We have them here in the US too as an invasive species. They are quite scary especially in groups and at night. Very dangerous to people.

between this island and the cat island, its like heaven for the animals. no apex predators, plenty of land, and is beloved/fed by some other animal called humans. my dad feeds the animals out front, and he managed to get this rabbit to be less skiddish to humans. i can be around 10 feet from him and he'll eat the grass with little mind. rabbits are precious, like many animals
