I rode large acoustic bikes in the 26" wheel era, but now in the electric 29" era I'm riding a medium 2022 Giant Reign E+.All my 29er bike felt too big in a large 29er, much more comfortable in a medium now, geometeries on bikes have changed so much!

I always compare the geo to my current bike to get an idea of sizing. I also recommend trying before buying.

I wish I’d seen this before my trouble started?? unfortunately learnt the hard and very expensive way, to find out I had the wrong size bike, it was a non ebike 2017 Santa Cruz chameleon, I actually went with the manufacturer size chat. As I’m. 6’2” I went with the recommended XL frame, the top tube was 490mm just way too long, my current new bike is 480mm. Doesn’t sound a lot, but makes a massive difference?? It was a custom build. Set me back £4,000 plus. It caused me pain in the shoulders/ back and arms/ hands. I only rode it 7 times. I eventually sold it at a massive £3,000 loss, in the end I went to my LBS and did a demo on a 2023 Orbea Wild ebike, best thing I ever did. Can’t recommend that enough to anyone looking at a new bike. Best bike I’ve ever ride, absolutely love it. It’s so comfortable, so I’m now a proud owner of the 2024 Orbea Wild M-Team. Keep up the awesome videos guys.👍👍

This is a great video, so helpful. I am looking to buy an emtb and have been totally confused by all the talk of geometry. Thank you.

I have 2021 Trek rail medium, and a 2023 Trek Fuel in medium they do feel different, but not dramatically. I really like the Rail better.

The angle for the hand position can be adjusted using the handles, e.g. Ergon. This sometimes leads to noticeable changes.

Hi, I’m buying a Canyon Torque:On my measurements put me at the point between small and small/medium split. I am a little concerned that the small may be too small in terms of the seat tube and seatpost drop based on previous experience. However the reach is already 13mm bigger than my analogue bike in the small and 38mm in the medium Torque:OnI The Torque:On is a large bike reading reviews but I am slightly torn between the sizes and there is no way to test as the closest test location is 500 miles away! How much bigger should e-bike reach be over an analogue bike?

Hi Anna, great TIPS! I'm a small woman, with 160 cm and 72 cm inseam. My E-bike is a S (the smallest model size). I do feel comfortable on the bike, But I tippy-toe my feet to the ground when on the top tube and on the seat (Dropper seat fully down). Starting off and quick exits on hard terrain has been challenging (I know I will get better on time) but I've come to realize that Stand Over Height clearance is VERY important in E-MTB, for safety reasons as well.... What are your thoughts on this? I'm finding hard to find na full power, full suspension E-MTB for shorter ladies (SH < 70 cm).....Any suggestions?

Which is better ? to have rhe stem as low as possible with a pair of handlebars with a higher rise or to have the stem as high as possible with a flatter bar ie the overall height remaining the same or is there no advantage gained from either ?

This is at least the tenth video on the topic in the GMBN cosmos. The content is becoming increasingly repetitive and the channel is losing its appeal for me :(.
