Thank you for this video. As someone who suffers frim extreme worry and fear. Experiencing vertigo on top of that is very challenging. Mine happened during the night and now i know what to do if it happens again. ❤

I believe i know how i got my BPPV. I wore headphones and played loud music on highest. Like 2 years ago. And the next day I woke up with Vertigo dizziness. I did the lay back head back thingy and it fixed it on the first try. 2 years Later(today), I guess I didn't realize my music triggered it, so again (2 days ago from now) I put music on the loudest, I woke up the next day with dizziness! (Now i know its my loud headphone music doing it and will no longer listen to music with headphones) lol. The head back thingy didn't work 1st trythis time though, so i'll have to keep trying.

I’ve never heard of this before, now all of a sudden, it’s all over the internet. Calcium crystals…..could this possibly be a result of too much electronics…wireless earbuds or charging devices too close or are these just springing up out of nowhere?
@thedizzybusypt8 күн бұрын
@@swhite3883 Great question! I remember from about 2000 to 2010, it seemed like no one knew we had crystals in our inner ears or that they could become misplaced. Now, it seems like the "crystal" pendulum is swinging the other way. We do need to be careful we don't blame too much on these amazing little crystals. With that said, the crystals are surrounded by bone in our inner ears. I have not heard of an electronics cause link. I personally doubt it because I saw just as many people from 2000-2010 as I do now. Here is a link to a video I made on potential causes: Tired of Recurring Vertigo? Understanding Otoconia (Inner Ear Crystals) & BPPV Prevention kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXXUc3agrbejZrc

My BPPV Vertigo started 3 months after a motorcycle accident where I hit my helmeted head on the asphalt 4 years ago Now I do the Epley every 6-12 months. Always works first time. Age 70 yo.

@thedizzybusyptАй бұрын
It kind of makes sense to move that way, but I have a reasonable number of patients who panic and jerk out of bed which leads to nausea, vomiting, and sometimes even falling. I'm glad you figured out the right thing to do, and hopefully you found help!

Make sure you check out the link at the bottom of that video because I just made another video on a special way to get out of bed that might help take the problem away faster. Might be something to consider.
I really appreciate your encouragement! I pray for more of Him and less of me. 😊

That’s me exactly, but even sometimes when I lay in bed watching tv I won’t get the real bad rollover spins just a feeling like it wants to start, does that make sense? Can this last forever or is a temporary thing? Bending over doesn’t make me dizzy, just seems laying is the worst🤷♀️ p.s…..I have learned to really pay attention to my movements that’s for sure…it’s such a scary/ disturbing feeling to go full on dizzy…🤦♀️
@thedizzybusypt17 күн бұрын
@@Catlady12341 That makes perfect sense! I see it all of the time. We call the feeling like it wants to start a "pre-spin" sensation. It is usually a temporary thing that goes away within a few days after the spinning goes away. Everyone is a little different and can have it last different lengths. Having this problem causes the unconscious to become conscious in many of us which makes us pay attention to our movements more. We start to sense normal sway as abnormal. These are often all normal sensations that go away with time. Some individuals have it last a little longer, but I will talk about that later. I think you have given me a good topic for my next video!👍💪

That happened to me at 4 am,but after employment manager,I was dizzy & unbalanced for months..what next
@thedizzybusyptАй бұрын
Thank you for reaching out. It depends on the cause of why you still feel off-balance. A few things to discuss with your healthcare provider include whether or not you have triggered feelings of dizziness at this point. For instance, are you getting dizzy when you lay down, roll over, bend over, or tilt your head back? If so, and you hold perfectly still how long does the intense part last? If possible, take a video of your eyes if you are continuing to have intense attacks and show that to your healthcare provider. Does that make sense?
@mamacitasalsera5 күн бұрын
It happened to me this morning, but I know now to stay completely still until it stops. Then I very very slowly move myself onto my side just like you have demonstrated. It still gives me a very upset stomach but I can usually avoid vomiting! An antihistimine and the Epley manoevre have done the trick for me, it's gone for now. Worst thing ever.
@thedizzybusypt5 күн бұрын
@@mamacitasalsera Great work! Way to get control over it! The key is to let it finish before you move to the next position so that the crystals can move to the next position in the canal. Thank you for sharing.

The panicking will lead to more problems or worse PPPD.

You are right on! If people can figure out why it is happening, I think that can decrease the panic which probably decreases the likelihood of 3PD in some personalities.

@@AJ88874Understand the cause or trigger. Use video of eyes during the intense attacks to confirm the cause. Stabilize the trigger. Determine which trajectories are involved: cervical, visual, vestibular, nervous system. Optimize performance of those systems. Address sleep hygiene and overall health and wellness.
