Don't confuse monkey-branching with a rebound relationship. They are not the same. A rebound relationship starts AFTER you break up. Monkey-branching is cheating on you with no intention of fixing up your relationship. Basically monkey-branched are OPPORTUNISTS! They are the grass is greener mentality. They are toxic people and they will do the same thing to the "branch" they left you for if that is any consolation for you. They go around telling all their family and friends about it and then find out the grass wasn’t that greener after all. I split up with my recent ex because I was sure she had started monkey branching. She just became so distant all of a sudden. And had started texting less. And texting differently. So I initiated the break up myself by stupidly ignoring her text one day. She didn’t text again for another three weeks. Just saying “Do you want your stuff, or should I throw it out”. I’ve taken this as a sign of guilt myself. Why wouldn’t you just text what’s wrong or what’s going on, if you hadn’t done something for to be guilty of?! So she won’t talk to me now. No explanation about anything. Or what’s going on. Or what’s actually happened here. All I do know is I love her with all my heart and just want to work things out. EX decided it was ok to start talking to someone as "friend" who became a convenience factor who slowly become more than that. She postponed telling me till anon told me, confronted her. Asked and she told me that she would've eventually told me. Now in her mind, she's in a 50/50 mindset with this guy whose she's been for a month. Then expects me to "OK" mentally and physically

Apparently the reason for our breakup was she didn't feel she could open up to me. then I found out she told someone we both know that she didn't feel that I trusted her because one night she went out with a male friend usually she wanted me to meet her friends but not this one.
