Case fan makes a groaning sound and pc doesn’t make it past the bios beep then turns off then turns on again and keeps doing the same thing over again and I cleared the cmos by removing the battery and touching the 2 cmos pins with the screw driver like you said it still does the same thing

The last time I built machines, there were no led indicators or rgb components to help. The only thing we had on the MB's were the amount of Post beeps. 👍👍👍

Another great video! That model of board is actually what will go in my next rig, so it's nice to know what to look out for. I had an incident where I couldn't boot with my current rig. Something was causing a short. I ripped everything out one by one, trying to find out what it was. It turned out to be my SATA SSD. The case is only an mATX and the only mounting point for the SSD was on a bracket on the right side of the case on the back of where the motherboard goes. The issue arose because there was next to no clearance between the power connector for the SSD and the side panel for the case. The side panel damaged the connector and it was goodnight Vienna! The SSD was shot too. I had to get an M.2 SSD and, fearing I'd also blown the GPU, I got a new one of them as well. Had I realised from the get go that I even had an M.2 slot (actually I have 2) I could have saved myself from a major headache!

At 1:34 i already realised my mistake after endlessly searching around those dumbass google entries, leaving me on a wild goose chase. I forgot to plug in the power to the CPU. I feel very stupid now, but thank you for this!!!

Hi Brian, I remember when Carie Holzman said that I had set him up for a fall during a pc build where he used one of the first of the MSI gaming motherboards that had an M.2 slot, but that slot was also taken up With the first SATA slot. You could use one or the other slots, but you could not use both. Of course, he chucked the manual away as he always did thinking he knew better and he proceeded to put the hard drive in the first SATA slot and he put the NVME drive in the M.2 slot. Of course, when it came to the switch on, it wouldn't work And I was trying to tell him that it wouldn't work in the chat as I had previously built one weeks earlier. I tried to tell him what he had done wrong, and then he accused me of setting him up for a fall. This just goes to show what an arrogant tossa he has always been.

my computer won’t boot, everything is plugged in no lights on the mb are going off to indicate somethings wrong, it isn’t randomly shutting down, it won’t let me get into the bios, i tried taking a ram stick out, unplugging components and replugging them in, took my gpu completely out, all components work fine and it’s a old pc and it just stopped working

Thanks for the information. Hopefully that solved my issue. I thought it was a bios problem, but now I think it's the display cable in the wrong place. Hopefully, that solved my issue.

I got my pc from a friend and it was working good the first day I got it and the next day I turned it on it wouldn’t boot to windows it would either just show the motherboard logo with the white circle loop and other time it would say preparing automatic repair

I had one motherboard that wouldn’t boot and appeared dead. It turned out to be a flat CMOS battery. Uncommon but happened on an old Gigabyte board. If all else fails worth a try

Hello there, I just tried to install a RTX 4080 (it has a 8 pin connector) and my pc wouldn’t boot up. I found the fault to be my connector, I had to put it in upside down. The pc started to boot the gpu lit up but then it started bleeping? So I turned off the power put back in my RTX 3070ti (it has a 12 pin connector) and now that has the same issue Ok, scare over my 3070 works again, tried the 4070 again but I have the same issue, bleeping with nothing going to my tv. My power unit is 800w minimum needed is 650w

I have a question if I may? Actually many questions but for today I’ll just ask you 1. And that’s on the back of the desktop the thumb screws that holds the see through plates and in order to install a graphics card you have to remove 2 of them and I did that and I have to brand new desktop case it’s the Corsair 4000D and when I go to put the screws back where they belong for the graphics and they don’t tighten when I’m tightening them I go slow to prevent stripping the screws but as I am putting them back in they will not tighten they just keep turning and I never feel it getting tight they just keep turning so am I doing something wrong or is this normal and my graphics card is plugged in correctly and on the motherboard it does clip but the screws will not get tight and I use a Phillips screwdriver turning slow and even slower when the screws are close to the point where they should get tight but they don’t,can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong or did I get bad screws when I bought my desktop case a few months ago? Check the battery - take it out for 5 mins and then replace with a known good one

I have an old Asus laptop that doesn't power on at all - no power and no lights on, even on AC power. It's either the CMOS battery, which I cannot get to in the laptop, or a power supply issue, or some other issue that I don't know. Please help troubleshoot it with a sequel video to this one! CMOS battery will not cause that issue. Hard to say what's wrong since more information is needed at this point. You test voltage from the power supply with a meter? Check the power connector at the laptop if it's broke or real loose? If you're not getting power into the laptop, eventually the battery will go dead and you'll have nothing. If all those test is good then it's more likely a part on the board failed. If it's not a board issue, even with no post the LEDs should still work once it gets power.

@@mogwai6707 Only thing that will do is prevent booting up to the OS in the worse case of scenerio. A defective HDD will not prevent no powering up or prevent post.

I didn’t think I would get a reply from anyone from this channel. I think I’ve gotten one response from all of the videos. Well time to unsubscribe and look for another but please don’t think that you’re the only one there are many others that will not reply or even help there just doing there videos as fast as they can to get that free stuff from companies and that money from KZbin. Think about it you started out small and worked your way up and now you get free stuff that’s very expensive and for jayztwocents to fire asus he is pulling in the money and what do you think he does with all of them freebies? He sells them close or at retail price on eBay or uses it to build a desktop computer and sells it for a lot of money and yes I know it took him a long time to get here and he is making it good so good he got a lot of snap together Corsair snap together fans and they are very nice and very expensive but free for him.
