It just hurts to see how beautiful Børsen was, and then think about the building now, after that devastating fire in April.

I totally agree. I was devastated to see that fire. I hear, though, they are rebuilding! 😃

In fact, all native Danes speak English, it has been mandatory in school since 1943. What many don't know, we do also speak German also mandatory since 1943, although bad German, we have only had it for 4 years in school. English is 10 years from day one.

@@CORRTravel Haha. No, not even that. A British politician once said: " Nothing in Denmark happens by coincidence, it's all by design".

I had English from 5th grade. 6 years total. I had three years of German, and have never used it since. I do not speak German.

I am tour guide in Rio de Janeiro. I live in a slum called Rocinha. My boss lives in Copenhagen and invited me to stay with his family, wife and two kids. I will not pay for the flight tickets nor housing. He has a room for me in his house. Although I am a favela guy, I am thinking about it because it is a very expensive country. I'd rather go to Portugal or Angola. Never thought it would happen, me not wanting to go to Europe. I am old now, 62. I still enjoy my favela, so many friends and pretty ladies. Language will not be a barrier, I speak, read and write fluently in German and English.

It's so crazy how Americans travel. 1-2 days per capital. Must be extremely stressful..?
@CORRTravel4 ай бұрын
Well, this one was more than 2 days... 😁 Oh, you didn't know Americans get jack crap vacation time? Lol. Yah, it does not compare to other countries, unfortunately. One of the reasons I no longer live there.

@@CORRTravel I actually feel sry for the USAnians. It should be a human right to 5 weeks of paid holiday, so the batteries can be recharged. Also see other parts of the world. People with knowledge about these things, say it is actually a good business for the state, with paid holidays. Imagine how many more jobs it will create in the US, if all people had at least 5 weeks of holiday. More jobs, more money to tax daddy, and less unemployed.
