I just came across your series on the varioius ports in Iceland. My wife and I just completed a Circle Iceland cruise from/to Amsterdam in July on the Nieuw Statendam. I find your videos very informative, and I really like your style and apporach, while you stay on point. We were scheduled to visit Djupivogur, but due to weather, we were redirected to Seydifjordur instead, where we had a delightful time wandering and exploying the town and waterfalls. I really enjoyed your video and wish we would have made it to this port, and your video showed what we missed. We had been scheduled to do an excursion to the glacier and glacier lake, and were disappointed that we missed it. We were actually waitlisted for the excursion, and were planning to do almost exactly what you did, but at the last few days, we cleared the waitless. Watching you video validated that we had a good plan and would have enjoyed Djupivogur as you did. I also watched your other videos, and plan to comment on them as well. Thanks for sharing! -Marty

Thanks Marty! You make the work that goes into our videos worthwhile! We actually went there twice on a back to back cruise, so we got to dig a little deeper than the limited port time we usually have. Man, just get ready for wind!

@@ThePortLowdown All of your Iceland port videos are awesome and so helpful. I don’t know how the KZbin algorithm works but it should do a better job in making your videos in front of viewers who are searching for Iceland port info. I hope that you get a lot more views. Most people would find them helpful and be glad that they watched them.

Thanks again! We keep working on our titles and descriptions to get more exposure. Slow going, but persistence pays off eventually.

Compared to visiting in 1980, this is very civilized. Glad village hasn’t growth out of all recognition.
