What to do in your first 90 days as a manager. It's all in this plan!

Officially a mid-level manager as of last week. I am working on new 90 day goals.

1. Do your homework - refresh your mind about what a leader and manager should be doing, read more books and watch videos 2. Pick up company info - policies, websites, learn the culture. DO NOT MAKE CHANGES YET! 3. Find out who's who - get employees to share the breakdown of their week, what are the employees good at, is there any task that has zero reasons on their plate? Anything you can help? 4. Find your allies - talk to other leaders in the company, ask about the norm/ procedures 5. Make a plan on how to move forward - do your SWOT analysis. Strengths of team, weakness of company processes, find opportunities that can get you easy wins, what threats your competition is working on that you/ your team is not doing. 6. Set goals - assign SMART goals. Specific, measurable, actionable, relevant, timely goals for you and your team. Include your team when making the goals to get buy-in. 7. Relax & Delegate - facilitate the team to meet the goal, be there to guide and mentor 8. Get feedback - are you hitting your target? How are the employees meshing with you? Don't beat yourself up when some days are not good. You've watched this video and have already made a 90-day plan.
