The email requesting the supporting documents may arrive late. As long as you as you have the confirmation, you're fine. Just wait and check your spam mail from time to time in case the email gets sent there, but nothing to worry about.

Apply for fee waiver at least 28 days before your leave to remain expires. In most cases you won't receive the fee waiver decision by the time your LTR expires but don't worry your LTR is extended until you receive the decision. If your fee waiver is unsuccessful you will be told to submit your application within how many days the HO specify (around 10 days usually). If you don't you will be an overstayer and can affect your future ILR application.

It can take as long as the Home Office has the resources to deal with applications. Unfortunately there is also no option to expedite the application.

No they don't usually confirm receipt of documents. As long as you have proof you submitted them, you just need to wait. did you upload using the UKVI Sopra Steria services, or did you upload using the link sent to you?

You have to use the link to upload all the documents.you need to take clear pictures of all documents and upload them one by one. You can't upload 2 together. Only 1 it's so frustrating. It's take long time. .I did a mistake when I applied for fee waiver.i didn't know that you can't get indefinite leave to remain through the fee waiver. They don't give indefinite leave to remain through the fee waiver. I applied for indefinite leave to remain. But they give me 2 and half years extension. Fee waiver only for extension. So make sure you don't make mistake like me. Thanks

No, waiting more than 4 weeks doesn't mean they are not rejecting your application. If they can't reject it straight away they will usually write and ask you with further queries or ask you to provide documents. They will write to confirm their decision whether or not your application has been approved.
