I’m learning how a transcript can catch them in a lie and that is perjury. Narcissistic ppl don’t think about their accountability in anything.

To me, a parent lying to hurt the other parent harms the child immensely, especially when false charges of abuse are made., and it is MUCH worse than a gang member lying. The whole gang comparison is a weak argument when childrens lives are at risk!

That’s why there’s no true justice in family court if anyone can just lie and be more convincing, with no risk of getting in trouble. It’s a hard field you chose, and thank you for sharing your knowledge.

My ex lied repeatedly in our custody case, making many false allegations of domestic violence. But I had the transcripts of her entire testimony. During my direct testimony, I testified about each one of her lies. I would say, " The mother said ABC. There is what the mother says and then there is reality. in reality XYZ happened." And I would testify with so much detail that I forced the judge to basically live inside our reality, instead of permitting the judge to make a decision based on the standard gender stereotypes against dads. So I proactively prevented the judge from being able to simply believe her vague and false allegations. I usually recommend to other dads to testify with extensive detail to Fight false allegations. Basically try to prove how her allegations are illogical or defy Reality.

We may not feel it's worth it to punish perjury among the common people, but I feel that we should uphold higher standards for those in office who blatantly and clearly commit perjury in court.

I was lied about. By two people, which is how I lost my first child, my son. It caused a devastating amount of damage. I also ended up, possibly, with some ptsd. I also pay child support to the person who abused me. I am not trying to get too personal. But, I do know that there needs to be some awareness of this issue. There are people out there who will lie due to factors unrelated to whether or not a parent is fit. People can just go up and say whatever they feel like, and it is believed. That is quite literally what happened to me. One of the two people who did this, apologised. The other is in denial about having said many of the things she said, although she does say that she gave testimony because she had a been under the whether, and felt it would be convenient to her (what the heck!). Anyway, I finally figured out the real reasons why they did what they did, but the damage was done. I had a nervous breakdown after losing my son, who I was so close to and he was only one year and seven months old. My son had a hard time coping with not seeing me, I found out, and began acting out. There is a lot that happened, and I won't say here, but it was A LOT of damage. I have suffered tremendously for years. Courts need to also realise that some people are sociopathic that way. My life has not been the same since my son and I stopped seeing each other. I miss him so very much.

What to do when the alleged “court” itself is a part of the problem due to conflict of financial interest. Make a video about that. Now that would get lots of ratings

It was malicious intent when my ex-husband FALSELY accused me of parental alienation after telling me he was going to take the children and the home from me by accusing me of it. He was determined to destroy me for trying to live. He did not care about our children. He has lied his whole life about everything. He pretended to care about the children. He abused them significantly so that I had to take it seriously and address it. He was determined to take the focus off the finances so he would keep control of them and of his image. If anyone accuses anyone of anything, everything should be investigated, especially the finances, to determine the level of coercive control. I was not even going to bring up the abuse of me other than with a mediator to establish that I had had nothing in years and was trapped by threats and I needed support to leave and to establish myself with my children. He had no interest in them until he faked it in family court and almost won custody. Once he had the money and the sympathy he didn't really want the responsibility. But giving the wrong person that kind of control is dangerous. So many are harmed by this. Truly Terrifying!

My experience has been that high-priced attorneys know this all too well, and simply show their clients how to lie. It's a win win for them, but never the children.

Its Bullshit... I don't get why the court lets people get away with perjury. You are correct... There needs to be accountability.

I'm convinced our judicial system was never designed to handle ANY of the laws that have been passed in the last 100 years.

We've proven multiple times that my husband's ex wife committed perjury and the family court judge refused to address the situation. We went to family Legal Aid Services and they told us that it was the DA was the party that would persecute for perjury, when I contacted the DA's office they said that it was up to the family court judge. The judge seems to not want to be bothered with lies both spoken and court and written and filed sworn documents. This has been going on for years. We're in southern California and had our court cases this past year on zoom. The ex is now claiming to have breast cancer and refused to be seen on video because she's making it up and she didn't lose her hair. Our attorney keeps trying to get the judge to pay attention to the fraud but she still refuses. We're so fed up with the southern California family courts, they should be renamed "we only believe the mothers and all the father's can go pound sand."

Lying to attack and lying to defend are the different motives. If the person's lie may cause you to lose custody of your children, then it is no longer an innocent lie.

Fines vs imprisonment may be the start of a good deterrent in family court. That information should also be able to be used as a judge of character for all hearings going forward.
