So Impulse got: - grass blocks - brown wool - brown glass - light gray terracotta (+glazed) - red terracotta (+glazed) - quarz Which requires: - a cocoa bean farm for the brown dye; used to dye sheep for brown wool and crafting brown glass - either villagers or manual terracotta farming plus dyeing (= bonemeal and wither rose farm) - manual grass block farm - villagers or manual sand farming for the glass - a bartering farm for the quarz (since I think the Permit includes nether quarz) - possibly a good autosmelter for the glazed terracotta Impulse already has a wool farm so that's no issue, as well as access to poppies through the shared iron farm (for red dye). So much for the whole "I don't want to work with villagers too much" mindset most of the hermits have this season lol

You could probably make a XP bank by loading the cactus into storage minecarts. Level 0->30 means 1395 XP, which means ~22 stacks of Cactus. A detector rail will output a a signal strength of 12 which will then send of the minecart. The minecart is sent to the smoker/furnace and returns when empty. The furnace XP cank can probably be tiled 1 block wide. Can you put the overflow into a smoker/furnace that will collect XP until the end of the season and you will see how much XP it will contain at the end of the season?

16:00 The design can be "observer reduced" at the cost of +1 block wider (per section) & it triggers 2 pistons instead of 1. (actually wrong, after testing I realize the resdtone connects & doesn't transmit the signal to the pistons, AND it would trigger 2x15x2 pistons: 2 rows, 15 strength & 2 left+right side if started in the middle. It could have worked if we had eg: "blue-stone" & could alternate it like with slime & honey blocks) :/ (You could maybe stagger the design, by pushing in every even/odd row 1 block, but it would be an ugly solution & bring more problems) Place the observers under the piston facing the kelp. Add a solid block behind the observer + 1 redstone dust on top of that block. Mirror the piston & observer but re-use the block & redstone.

Ok I like the idea of the shopping district this season. It spreads out the love and prevents monopoly for the most part. The cactus farm was a very satisfying time lapse. Biggest Loser oh Snap! 😂

For the Exp Bank I swear Xisuma did something like this back in Season 6. It was really late into the season but he had a nice compact design that completely filled the furnaces when the right amount of exp was reached. I'm sure Impulse has probably already worked out his own idea for this but, if not, that might be something to look up for inspiration. Impulse's permits are pretty good if you ask me. I don't know what kind of profit they'd make, but they all kinda share the same farms. Brown wool is simple. Brown glass just requires brown dye and he's already made dye farms before. Personally this is when I'd break down and use villagers cause getting glass from villagers is so easy. Quartz is easy if you do piglin bartering. With the autocrafters, nuggets become ingots that get bartered for everything. All the rest of the quartz stuff is just crafting. Quartz Ore, assuming you have to sell that too, is the hardest part as that's only available through mining. Red terracotta and light gray terracotta are kinda crazy but like 95% automated. Start with an automated rooted dirt farm (will need a bonemeal farm as well), use a dispenser to add water to get mud, add some stalactites under the mud to get clay, and then blow it up. Ilmango has a great mud farm for this that uses a TNT dispenser if you don't want to dupe. Now with the clay balls, autocraft to get clay blocks, smelt to get terracotta, and dye (perhaps with autocrafters?). Red is easy with the iron farm and light gray is easy with flower farm. The hardest part of this farm is getting all the observers to make it, but with the quartz from the gold farm it's not that much harder. Grass can be handled a few ways. First you need a good source of dirt. - One, craft it. Due to piglin bartering, you now have a ton of gravel. Dirt and gravel combine to make coarse dirt (autocrafter?). Use a hoe on it to get regular dirt. - Two, use rooted dirt farm. If you hoe rooted dirt, you get dirt and roots. Just separate the rooted dirt into two lines, one for mud and one for dirt. Would need a way to repair your hoe or give you a new hoe when it breaks (skulk sensor?), but this way is AFKable and the blast chamber will collect the dirt for you. Now that we have renewable dirt, we just need grass. Grass spreads surprisingly fast if it is ABOVE the dirt block you want converted. To automate some of it, feeding dirt into a piston feed tape that shuffles the dirt around under a large grass platform would help. Obviously digging it up is still manual but this would at least fill the system without you running around. Could use a minecart system to move you around so you just need to aim up and you'll mine all the freshly generated grass blocks. You can use iron trap doors under the top layer of grass blocks to both create the air gap needed for grass to spread and to protect the upper grass blocks from being dug up. I think I just like the challenge behind this permit game. It makes you think differently instead of just building the same farms you always build even if some people are just going to build those farms anyway.

You can probably automate terracotta, albeit with some difficulty. Hook up a mud farm to a platform with drip stone beneath in and you’ve got clay that can be smelted into mud.

Suggestion for the grass block farm: 1. You can produce more dirt by getting gravel from piglin bartering 2. Combine it with some existing dirt you have to get course dirt (since you get more course dirt by crafting) 3. Tilling the course dirt with a hoe then turning it to dirt 4. Now you just have to put a grass block next to it to convert to more grass blocks

You can make a sod shop! Use skinned bundles to look like sod rolls that you'd find at landscape centers.

I may be a little late to the party, but you can reduce the amount of observers you need for the kelp farm by a third if you use powered rails to transfer the signal instead. Awesome stuff impulse!
