You need to visit us more. Gastronomy changes every comarca (pseudo county), and for foreign people, just to try most famous dishes from Galicia, Asturias, Basque Country, Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia Andalucia Extremadura and Madrid, would take one week per each, so 9 weeks, and you can add 9 more CC AA (pseudo states) Canary Islands, Balear Islands, Aragon, Cantabria, Nafarroa, South Castilla, North Castilla, Ceuta and Melilla, and that 18 week will only give you a taste of the most common dishes being with a good schedule. And even if you would be able to have only one bite of each famous (not all) traditional dish, just to try, you would spend at least one day per each. About sausages, that you like, Catalonia, has several of their own, and Valencia is famous too with very different products. There are also great sausages from Burgos as their rice morcilla (blood sausage) Asturias and Galicia. But each county would have their own sausages, with a little or big twist over their neighbours counties or even villages or towns. And last but not least, it is not only great recipes, product matters too, and our weather and seeds are amazing.

¡¡¡Good joke, man!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@liwyatan11 ай бұрын
@@rsnankivell1962 the joke is putting flamenco music and the isPain flag on the video. That says, quite clearly: Man, I don't have a clue of where I am. "Spanish" cava (what the f^ck is that?). Tapas are from the south of Spain, and on and on and on... That's why people in Barcelona has started to hate tourists, they come for a Disney-Barcelona that only exists in their mind. Let me try to explain it, the beauty of Spain is that it's like 17 countries glued together in a small space. With different languages, traditions,... and I mean different. Like, as an example, Vasque language has nothing to do with any other language in Spain (or the World). As a friend of mine from the States once told me, two neighbouring towns in Spain are more different than New York from Los Angeles or Denver. Of course, as in any other place, we have the narrow minded (I call them "affectionately" isPaniards. They don't live in Spain, but in a parallel country I call isPain) that wants us to be just single minded, boring, fascists, robots. But, f*ck them! Going back to the topic at hand. If you visit Spain, forget those tourist traps in Madrid and Barcelona. Pick a small city for your stay (most of the province capitals are well connected by high speed trains or planes). It's cheaper and you'll find the true Spain around you. And as I've said before, you have 17 different country/regions to explore. Have fun!

Barcelona is a place I have yet to visit, and would like to in the future. I have an old picture of my grandmother visiting there in 1957, she was standing outside on a bridge with a wide background and distinct large arhitectual buildings and features, I'd like to find that spot and take photo of myself standing where she stood in 1957. One of my first cousins lives there

This is one of the best food videos of Barcelona I've come across. Usually I make note of 1 or 2 places from each video. Every spot you went to looks phenomenal and is highly rated. My experience last time at Bar Canete was amazing, so I can't wait to try these other places on my trip next month!

Good video, and good food. As a Spaniard, just a couple of clarifications: The explanation you gave about the origin of "tapas", it´s just one of the many explanations given for the origin of the name, most likely inaccurate. "Tapa" means "lid", which literally comes from the verb "tapar" ("to cover"). As such, the most plausible explanation is a "tapa" was originally nothing but small piece of food used to cover the glass, so flies or dust wouldn´t spoil the wine in the cup. As for the pimientos de Padrón (green peppers), "unos pican y otros no" means "some are hot, some are not": as such, you´re not supposed to eat them as you did, but leave a little bit at the stem, since it´s the part you´re more likely to find the bitter/"stingy" bits. Enjoy your stay!

Hi, I wanted to ask you how should I go about learning English through movies, TV series and songs, what methods should I apply, how should I approach these tools and how can I put them into practice? Ditto for books/audiobooks/podcasts and videos on youtube, where should I start if I'm at zero??? Nb: I'm a 20-year-old boy and I haven't decided which path to take yet but at the moment I'm more oriented towards languages and I would also like to go and live in England

When I see a 30 min food video from a channel I don't know, this is what I do. I randomly fast forward into the video six times. If every time I land on the presenter's face instead of a shot of food, something isn't right. I'm going to skip this one. Having said that, Barcelona is an amazing food city and everyone should go at least once
@EuroTrotter3 жыл бұрын
So much I’d love to say. I actually don’t hate your thought process, but I do think it’s a bit flawed lol…maybe you should try watching the first 6 minutes instead? I’d like to personally invite you to watch the video and if you feel unsatisfied with the amount of food and places I covered in the video, I’ll keep your comment in mind for future videos…but please keep in mind this is not Instagram…I love food but staring at it for 30 minutes might be a bit too much lol. Accept the challenge? If you are satisfied, I certainly wouldn’t mind you acknowledging that your approach may not be the best. Keep in mind I’m challenging you because I’m quite confident of the outcome! Enjoy the video my friend.

This is my city and unfortunately, I feel obligated to warn potential tourists that they are better off going somewhere else. Robberies, especially at night are now the norm, and use of violence during theft is on the rise. I've even seen one youtuber, Dr. Cellini - do a video on it as he was attacked and robbed in Barcelona. I'm a local and they tried to rob me once already and I've also seen the aftermath of many muggings even if I didn't see the act itself - heartbreaking to see a tourist when they have just realized someone has stolen their bag from their seat or snapped a phone off their hands etc. Not only that but the corrupt Spanish government refuses to change masks in public transport from mandatory to recommended because some close friends of the government started mask businesses. This means there is also friction on the metro and bus with people attacking others, including tourists, if they don't have masks on...most people I know come from countries where masks are history so when they arrive here they have no idea and don't have masks with them. In sum, go somewhere else, it's not the best time to visit Spain.
@mickybcn7453 Жыл бұрын
In my 74 years old I never have been robbed in Barcelona but I almost been robbed in Prague, using the common sense is easy to avoid be roobbed, allways the wallet in the front pocket ,don't wear expensive jewels or watches ,nothing more.
@rsnankivell19623 жыл бұрын
Are you serious, Barcelona? It's the Spanish city with the least tradition in tapas bars. In Barcelona there have never been tapas bars until 1992 ... so in all the cities of Spain there are better tapas bars than there.
