Amateur boccia ref here: it is basically bowls on a court the size of a badminton court. You’ve got six balls ( one team red, one team blue)to throw towards a jack, the closest to the jack ( white) gets the points. You’ve got singles, doubles & teams ( triples). Classification is on trunk control. You can play with any part of the body or approved piece of equipment ( e.g head wand, ramp, ) which changes on classification, as long as it goes forward. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

Regarding the tattoos, I thought it was because the Paralympics have their own logo (ie perhaps having the Olympic rings could be seen as false advertising or sth)

From my understanding, the IPC bans olympic ring tattoos for athletes but NOT the Paralympics logo. It's just a brand competition kind of thing. And they said they'd drop the ban a few days ago.

This must be a joke now 😂, and it may just be phrasing, but do not WEAR bear spray, do NOT spray bear spray on yourself. Bear spray is used like pepper spray but towards bears that are acting aggressive!

As someone who has never gone to the Olympics, I think oh … that would be cool … if I actually made the Olympics, I don’t think I would feel the need.
