Just to add make sure you don’t come in with a attitude. Remember you agree to this I didn’t make you accept probation. In my state you have to report to the office right away and if it’s close to 5pm you have to report the next day. Now I personally never do a UA the first day. I do ask if I drug test you know will it be dirty just to see what they say. If they are honest I tell them to stop doing it and start cleaning out. You are right the first visit is paperwork. In my state the official probation orders may take 3weeks for the judge to sign so I do go over and instruct the offender on the Standard Orders of Probation and they sign indicating they understood and when the official orders come we go over again. And yessssss please don’t come with your moms or wife because they well not be coming back to the office. Lol I’m quick to tell the offender especially the young ones that there mom or dad not on probation. And we do not ask when it comes to reporting the next month. We tell you when you reporting and that’s it. You have a whole month to make that date. Another home run video. Lol now going to Twohatspodcast

I am probably going to be on probation here very soon. Court is tomorrow. My question is, does going to college look good in the eyes of a PO? I've been taking classes for the last two years and have another two to go. I have never been on probation and I enjoy drinking alcohol every now and then to be honest. Little worried at the moment and it is going to be hard for me to stop drinking.

@@YourFavoritePO well then there is a whole misunderstanding with the probation where I'm from because they don't offer to help with anything they never ask they know what struggles you're going through but they never offer but they talk about time to time about the programs they have in the beginning but they never try to help anyone so sad for anyone on probation where I live because they find any excuse in every excuse to lock you up but note to self anybody from Tennessee they were new laws past July 1st and it makes technical violations a little easier on people

not saying get out there and do the wrong thing but my violation wasn't misunderstanding and I end up doing a year and got two years added just because I wasn't at an address and they showed up unexpectedly and only person home was the person's son and he didn't know I live there so he told him I didn't live there they went straight back to the office and typed a warrant without trying to call me or anything to see where I was just wondering how all this can be done and by the way my favorite po those questions when you get around to it you're a very good-hearted person and probation is not supposed to be easy but it's not supposed to be where you're the victim and a victimized way you're the victim because you're on probation you're in trouble but you shouldn't be victimized just the way I see it but anyways buddy hope your probation has went okay good luck to you

From my experience, this isn't a problem. I always suggest ppl stop using any substances as soon as possible. Definitely cut all use the day probation is ordered

Yes, it's understandable to be dirty the first time tested after being placed on probation. The PO will expect the person to be clean 30-45 after they signed for probation. A person isn't allowed to use drugs once they sign those papers in court

He came back telling me his parole officer said he has to parole in orange county but he never lived in orange county then he said he asked for an address change to my address . But he finished off saying he has to parole out in orange county .:: what does that mean ??? How is he gonna parole somewhere where theres no address ?

There has to be a verifiable address, or the parolee could be sent to a halfway house. Until the transfer gets approved

What kind of help do probation officers give? I don’t get it. Just show up, and don’t break the law. I’m 43 years old and never convicted until last Thursday. I got a ? Can I smoke CBD which is legal in Texas and has the legal limit of THC. Which is 0.3% and under. I've read it can cause a positive test for THC. Also should I ask or not ask my P.O. that lol? It's legal, like how can they violate me if it's CBD even if they say I was positive for THC. I just don't get the system. Yes, using cbd will cause you to test positive for thc. As a condition of Probation, you can't ingest anything that will alter your mental state. It's just like drinking alcohol, its legal to drink, but Probationers aren't allowed to drink any.
