We were both in the same room and I had her call my phone, and it seemed like the signal wasn't getting through to my phone. Unless the two phones were close to each other. We did the same with her phone and had the same results. But we also put two layers of crinkled tinfoil around the phones. We also tried it with a kitchen towel to separate the phone from the tinfoil because I read its even more effective if you do that; if you wrap your phone with something else first, then wrap the crinkled tinfoil on as the outside layer(s).

Here in the Philippines it's normal to hear EAS. Usually when a very strong typhoon is coming with some warnings or a strong earthquake just happen somewhere showing the location and it's strength. We got used to it that many just treat it just a regular text message with no one panicking even if it gives off an annoying loud tone. I remember one time we have a department meeting and all the phones EAS alarmed at the same time and everyone just glanced at it for a second then continued on. So I was surprise from this video that in the US a first world country they still need to inform people of the incoming test alert and need to explain what it is? This could had been very helpful in Hawaii.

For one thing, "in case of any emergency, this eas will be postponed until 10/11/2023"... now, I'm not a rocket scientist, 🤔but wouldn't THAT be a perfect time to actually KNOW that it's a real emergency, and proceed with any eas test, instead of Hawaii'ing us all?!
