Bummed that we won’t see the OG short bus crew in 2025. Hope to see a reunion happen soon

I think we all take for granted how much work and effort goes into your videos. I get excited anytime you drop a new video. I also love the simplicity at times. The small stream fly fishing at its finest a gorpo film is one of my favorites. It showed how great simple can be.

2024 brought legendary Wild Fly films and it was clear how much effort you put into each one. We all appreciate those big films and look forward to the simple formats as well. They're all an immediate watch when you upload! I can also dig having the podcast episodes on this channel, especially with supporting footage mixed in. The clothing line is fire too, cheers!

Are you going to bring back The Short Bus? Those adventures were great to watch! Thanks for the content!!

They totally should. I loved watching them go all over in the bus and plus, they caught some great fish.

I've always listened the pod on Spotify, but if you're considering bringing it over to the main channel I think there are ways to lean in on the visual side of KZbin to bring more value to the folks that are used to only seeing highly produed films here. Colin and Samir do a great job of bringing viewers to KZbin vs. Spotify by using clips from the stories being shared during the podcast and driving the value of the conversation for the viewer home in the first few minutes. Putting the Wild Fly touch on some of those elements would be a great way to get your audience stoked on watching the podcast within KZbin. Clips and BTS footage from the stories in the pod are also the worlds best plug for Wild Fly Patreon. Hopefully that's helpful! Glad this is back, I enjoyed learning more about post shooting workflow from the team!

A small stream roadtrip series/videos would be cool. Some shorter videos with just fishing, camping, and hanging out to fill in the gaps between the big storyline videos. Southern Colorado would be an awesome spot

Super interesting to hear about the backend of production. KZbin as a platform is always changing (metrics, rules, ect.). How does that factor into your planning. Also, If you are looking for a place to gather, I think tying onto the BHA Rendezvous would be cool…and an easier lift in organizing. Love the channel. Cheers!

Some thoughts, if you care guys. Your editing and storytelling is what makes you great. Anyway to balance more content with the amazing projects (Like JD trip, like hope and high water, like the bonefish series) would be awesome. I’m sure easier said. I’m also fat and 40 and would be totally down for a meet and great out camping. PS - Another CO film would be awesome. PSS - I’m sure I’m not alone by saying we all watch your films over and over. I did not feel disconnected from the channel at all this year, even with less videos.

@@chriswhitney4603 thanks for the words Chris! These are super good things for us to think about going forward. Pumped for 2025!
@bergs30055 күн бұрын
@@WildFlyProductionsalso pumped! Not that my 2 cents is worth anything special but I think you guys should show the Midwest a little more love. Streams per capita is off the charts and road trips can be super cheap with maximum reward! The holy waters of The AuSable River are waiting and the dry fly fishing is one of a kind! I was born and raised in Grayling where the headwaters are and would be happy to point you in the right direction. Thanks for everything boys.

Hey man. I have been watching your channel for a couple years now and as a person who makes fly fishing videos on KZbin myself, I'm wondering what it takes to have such a successful KZbin channel like you do. If you would share some tips of how you have become so successful, I would really appreciate it.

Probably longer videos with more filler, more cinematography and less fish, more sponsorships, etc, etc. As long as you keep doing stuff with Phelps, those videos aren't as good as the original content with the Blue Line guys, but he helps keep this channel afloat...

I love the podcast, but I do have some concerns about them being in the same channel. I did see a big difference between having my travel videos and podcast videos on the same channel in comparison to being in separate channels. Granted my channel is TINY, but my podcast episodes seemed to drown my adventure videos. When I separated the channels I seemed to get more page visits and views on the adventure vids. Just some food for thought, maybe have a separate channel for the video podcasts?
@WildFlyProductions4 күн бұрын
Great feedback. That's been my biggest concern with hosting it on the main channel. Some good food for thought! Thanks.
