How does that work with the parents thing? Me and my partner get married next year in July but I was put into fostering years ago and don’t have contact with any of my parents. So how will I answer the parent questions and the birth certificate?

If you have a passport you won’t need birth certificates. My passport had run out and wanted to wait and get a new one in my married name which is why I used mine and my mums birth certificates. You can have adoptive parents names placed on your marriage certificate but I’m unsure about fostering. If you contact your local registry office where you’ll have to give notice of marriage they’ll be able to give you some advice though.

In th council site where I’m doing notice to get married I have questions “what appointment type do you need ? Single or double? “ what is it mean? Can i choose single or must be double ? Thank you
