I was able to get the 20 year Elite Visa before they raised the prices and changed the rules. I absolutely love living in Thailand and every day I pinch myself that I was able to escape America safe and sound. I really enjoyed your video. One thing you mention is to never talk bad about Thailand on social media. I go out of my way to make sure theres no way I could get in trouble in Thailand. Even if a drunken man were to ever punch me, I would probably just take it and walk away. In the US I was willing to throw down with anybody but in Thailand I am on my extra best behavior. No point taking any risk that could jeopardize your Visa.

I have a black French Bulldog in Thailand. They are the most loved dogs here. Is yours an American Bulldog ? Where is that outdoor market selling beef and ribs? More tips : Wear a helmet. Bring an international drivers license. It may be good for three months or a year. Usually, once you change from a tourist visa, the police will consider that you are living in Thailand, and you should have a Thai license. Open a bank account, and open a TransferWise (Wise) account based on living in Thailand, a Thai bank account. Transferring money from your overseas account to your Thai account through Wise is fast and cheap. Have Lomotil at home at all times in case you eat something you shouldn't have, and Ibruprofin. No tipping ? Tipping is less common by Thais, but normal for foreigners, and it is appreciated.

The problem with motorbikes and motorcycles isn't that they'll kill you, but leave you alive. Who is wearing protective clothing. Just think of the pavement as human sandpaper. Who is thinking about a hot exhaust pipe touching their skin as they're wearing shorts. Who is wearing a full-face Snell-rated* helmet. You know the first thing the driver is going to say, "I never saw you." You save more by taking a car or rail system, and avoiding a lifetime of pain or disfigurement. *Do they still rate helmets this way. I haven't ridden a motorcycle since the 1980's.

@JM32023 - Many foreign tourists have a misconception that Thailand is dirt cheap, including Western-style food.
