You both are the luckiest people in the world to have one another. Perfection in a marriage is almost impossibe. I wish I had this kind of video when my kids were growing up. (didn't have computers or cell phones). They would have seen how marriage is supposed to be. The only time I smile or laugh is when I watch you two. I write down all your recipes. My great grandson loves to cook. So I am making him a cookbook with your recipes and mine. He will be able to cook for his family when he has one. Love you both. You are inspiring.

Great to see you using HIllshire Farm sausages! I worked there for 8 years and actually made this sausage. The most impressive thing about Hillshire Farm is they use really good quality meat and the whole place is like super super clean, their standards are higher than the government standards. This sausage makes a great meal, I always keep some on the fridge I'll get 3 or 4 meals from 1 sausage and it's very reasonably priced. I like rice but pasta works great also! Your recipes look delicious.

@@maccusmc HIllshire Farms is in my home town Fritz Berneger started the company. I think he started it with his brother but I can't remember. I believe they started out by making German sausages. When the family sold it Sare Lee bought it but it's gone through many owners since then. When I worked there Fritz's grand son was one of the vice presidents. I worked in the Wiener room, Hillshire Farms didn't make hot dogs they made wieners. I worked in smoked meats. the deli meat clean room. the brat line. and the continuous kitchen and packaging room. I was also a meat grinder and mixer. I'd grind 1200 pounds of meat mix in all the seasoning then dump it into the stuffing machines so it could be made into rope sausage.

I make fresh green beans, red potatoes and keilbasa. This was my mother-in-law's concoction but it is truly very good. Start by cooking the green beans, adding chunks of red potatoes about half way thru. The sliced keilbasa can be added at any point--I usually add once I've started the green beans. But, I do microwave the sliced keilbasa for a couple minutes before I add it to the green beans. That way the finished dish won't be greasy. No seasonings needed when cooking. We do add salt and pepper to taste after it's plated. Hope you enjoy it if you try it! 😊

Nice recipes, I'm going to make the rice and broccoli tonight. I especially like to see a lovely married couple cooking together. When we were first married, hubby warned me that he was not a kitchen guy. Slowly, over time I lured him in. First, I begged him to light the gas grill for me because I was nervous about it. Then he offered to do the steaks on it. Soon he was doing prep with me so we could chat about the day. It's been nearly fifty years since we started and we still cook together every night. Best of luck for many years of happiness together.

I make a dish with one red pepper, (cut in about 1” X 1/4” pieces) a green pepper (cut the same) and 1 large yellow onion or 2 med. cut about the same as the peppers. Oil the pan, add the veggies and sliced sausage and cook until the veggies are soft and sausage is cooked through. While I’m doing this I have rotini pasta cooking in a pot of water. Drizzle the veggie/sausage mixture with Italian dressing and add the cooked pasta. Add more dressing if needed. My husband loves this dish. I changed the original recipe a bit, since the linguine noodles were hard to keep on a fork. There were a few other ingredients but this is how we like it and it’s fast and easy.

My family had sp ka-bossy regularly but it was a steamed or boiled dinner. My Mom would put water in Dutch oven with cut up potatoes, celery about 2” pieces, carrots and cabbage cut in quarters. Then she would put the Kabossy cut in quarters to flavor the water and veggies. Serve with rye bread and butter and mustard to dip the meat in. I like to butter my veggies and lightly salt. One of my favorite meals. Variation: kabossy heats nicely in the microwave as do carrots, celery and potatoes. They are quick and delicious this way also. Don’t forget the bread and butter. Enjoy how ever you make it.

I made the Cheesy, Kielbasa, Rice and Broccoli Skillet for dinner but converted it to low carb and it was delicious! Thank you Mandy and Steven for making it for us.

I cook with them all the time. Last week I made some curry with kielbasa, potatoes, green beans and a little golden beets (for sweetness) with some cashews thrown in for crunch.. Tonight I cut it into small pieces, browned it, added rice and frozen brocolli. I added smoked paprika, onion powder, 2 sm cloves of garlic and soy sauce - cook ed together in one pot.

Hi y’all from Texas. Your channel is one of my favorites. I love when my husband gets in the kitchen with me and we make our food with special memories. I didn’t see the link about your grandma’s skillet. Have a fantastic week.

OMG....Loved the creamy sausage pasta recipe...going to be one of my new regular recipes. Here's a tip for some add ons though that take it to the next level. I sautéed some mushrooms in the left over oil after cooking the sausage and set the mushrooms to the side. I added the mushrooms back in at the end when the cheese was added. Also, I added about 2 cups of broccoli crowns during the last six minutes of cooking. Lastly, when it was all finished, I topped with some thinly sliced green onions. That's what is so great about that recipe though, it's easy to add or take away whatever you want. Thanks for sharing....definitely a great one....GO TIGERS!!
