I just recently got back into the dating game after covid. It’s been a hellish 2 months of not knowing what to do or say or not having the balls to even approach. It’s funny coz I used to be pretty decent at this when I was first learning to improve my dating life. Then I remembered that I used to watch a ton of videos earlier on when I was first learning this so I’m back at it. Yours were like a fifth of them. After watching this video, I totally remember why you’re so high on my list. You saved a life today. Just so you know.

Hi Marni - I just wanted to say you are an absolutely wonderful person. In today's topsy-turvy world of feminist man-hating it is so refreshing to see a woman who not only understands, but actually cares (!) about the challenges men face when it comes to dating, and who genuinely wants to help. My love life is so much better since I found your videos and started taking your advice. Thank you Marni x

Keep in mind that What & How questions are fantastic, but Why questions make people defensive. Excellent topic and explanation about the subject! Now I have a better reason and term as to why I have a tendency to run off at the mouth with anybody. This isn't problem for me, I've just never been able to understand why I can speak to anybody about anything? Now I understand my strength or skills better. I find it's good practice to talk with a woman at the counter or behind the bar, a waitress, a receptionist or a saleswoman. These take the time to talk and if you ask to recommend they may even expand upon their answer. Focus on having a great and enjoyable conversation, giving, sharing and inviting. Also it's very important for the man to breathe and talk comfortably. Imagine you're swimming in a beautiful swimming pool and in the most relaxing enviroment, focus on the calm of your breath and let the words flow.

Saw a beauty from across the room, and was compelled by an inner angel to ask if I could sit next to her. She said yes. I asked her a couple questions, and she answered. Then I realized she was beautiful, cool, and much younger, and I froze up. She saw what happened, and picked up the conversation and got it going again. That was so nice of her. Her friend showed up, as she said she would, and I bowed out as I said I would. She was the only girl I've even done that with completely sober. It was awesome. My buddy was completely impressed, and said he could have never done that with such an awesome girl. I left to go flirt with a girl I have a huge crush on, who now has switched to women. C'est la vie.

damn, good advice but for guys like me the convo flows natural asf, I don't even try, don't even care lol if we click we click if not then onto the next they'll be some you vibe naturally with and some you don't that's just life, deal with it... this is why u have to meet up either at your place or there's just to hang out, don't put too much into this media BS and texting and emojis, etc..do it like our ancestors. No other means of communication but through face to face.. but if u rlly want her to think about you more than any other person from behind a screen then have a moment where you're texting back very quick and keeping up with her. Once things are flowing real natural go MIA take a while to respond and act like u didn't even go lol keep doing this throughout the court stage

This advice will make a conversation seem like an interview rather than a verbal exchange that flows. Statements will always be more interesting than questions. Especially since everyone will have the same generic questions one after another. Plus telling her something will be intriguing and puts you in the dominant position.
@marnikinrys
@marnikinrys 6 жыл бұрын
Ummm... quite the opposite. You know what seems like an interview? When guys ask question after question after question without actually listening and responding to whats being said. Do that 2 times in a row and my ears shut off and I find an excuse to stop talking to you.

jason jason There is so much that is wrong with what you've just said. No conversation can just consist of statements - how ridiculous. And when it comes to romantic relationships, NO ONE is supposed to be in "the dominant position." (Unless you're a professional dominatrix, but that's another topic altogether.)

I weigh less now than I did 13 yrs ago in highschool. And I was in shape in HS. But all the looks in the world dont buy me the confidence to act on it when I am getting interest from the ladies. Didn't see that coming tbh... always thought "If I am attractive to women than confidence will follow" unfortunately I was wrong... very. I'll be 32 in December so I need to sort this nonsense out.

I've been watching your videos because they are useful to see if I'm doing anything right as I'm returning to the dating game. I'm surprised that guys find this aspect difficult or maybe it's because I'm a little old man - but some of this seems like spoon feeding. To me it's second nature to respond to an answer like ''Where do you come from'' . I'm British and sometimes I meet a girl from Texas and when she tells me that I will respond with ''I've always wanted to go to Lubbock.'' She will then say ''Lubbock that's a funny place to want to go to - why there?'' Then I can reply ''Because it's the birth place of the late great Buddy Holly the guy who invented the modern rock band and I want to cry on his grave.'' It's easy it's not rocket science. :)

Marni, I can conversate with anyone any age any profession. The problem I had when I was younger was having a hard time talking to girls that I was attracted to. I can talk with an old lady and have her cracking up but then in the next 5 minutes with an attractive girl my age, totally freeze up. The reason I believe is the girl my age will believe I am hitting on her and to add to that I did not believe i was good enough for her. Very Low self esteem. Now that I am much older i can talk to women 20 years younger with no fear. part of it I believe is she would not think I am on her because I am much older. But if you put the woman in a pick up bar I would again freeze up. This is because It is obvious why I am talking to her. Anyway I make women laugh all the time, I am known for it, but the problem is I do not take the next step. Besides that, I am an excellent listener and have been told that but that is all I stay, a listening friend

I don't have a problem with confidence. I seem to have an issue with "social blindness." When it comes to men, I can size them up quickly and decide if they are the type of person I would want to be friends with or not. Unfortunately, when it comes to the women I tend to meet, they are seemingly intelligent, caring, beautiful and genuine people who don't end up being what they initially appear as. After a relationship ensues, I start finding out they've lied about important questions that would have eliminated them as potential partners. I don't know if I simply ask questions too soon and it creates fear of rejection and that leads to them lying or something else. I'm a very honest person and I find it difficult to understand why someone would want to lie about subjects that will eventually become known and might eventually have a negative effect on the relationship's quality. I can only guess there is a mistake that I am repeating each time. Marni, could you work your magic and create a video on this topic? I'm incredibly interested in listening to you tackle this issue.

I'm too honest as well. I've noticed, if I let people talk more than myself and ask them their opinion on a subject before giving them mine, it puts them in a position where they cannot agree, just to be agreeable. Mirroring someone is a technique of people with personality disorders. Open book people are normally targets of this behavior because they are forthcoming. I'm learning to look and listen more so I can see and hear red flags when they come up. And, I don't ignore said flags anymore

theres another way to look at this... If you've broken the ice with a girl and you enter into a back and fourth short conversation with her and the conversation reaches a stopping point, that may be telling you that there's really not much there between the two of you and that's ok. You're not going to like every girl you get to talk to you. Take it as a success that you broke through the awkwardness of talking to a complete stranger you're attracted to and had a short conversation with them until it reached a point where neither one of you had anything left to ask each other or talk about and MOVE ON.

I like to talk about seafood because I'm an old salty sailor, really. But if a gal starts talking about sausages or hot dogs then I tell them about my homemade clam chowda or sometimes I'll use wild caught sea cucumbers. That always gets them interested and keeps the conversation going. Because the chances are, they have never seen a tasty looking sea cucumber or have any idea that they could be so delicious. I knew a Japanese wo man who would eat that like sushi. Yuumi was her name.

What about Her: I love... Me: That's great, let's get down to it. It didn't work so well for me.

yeah, and what about when they respond with a single word phrase like yes/no/never/ect and don't add anything you can attach to? because a lot of girls lack in this department too and it makes really hard to keep up a conversation when a girl is shy or not used to work to get a man.

After watching this video, I learned so much from you that I don't wanna converse with you or with any of your wing girls. Because I think you might fall in love with me. 😄 Ha! I knew that you would react! Thanks for sharing, anyway. 👍

The one question I keep asking God is "why are women attracted to men who flaunt?" I do not believe in flaunting, but every woman I have ever met has rejected me for men who flaunt. These women have gotten married to these men then quickly gotten divorces then ended up as single parents. Amazingly these women still brag and boast about their ex's saying that their ex still love their children and still provide for them, "their ex supplies all their needs according to his riches in glory". When I try to be friendly with any of these women again they tell me I don't have anything, then they compare me to their ex and reminisce about the love that they once had with them.

I can see you're a good soul, James. Don't give up. Unfortunately there are so many people, men and women, who really aren't fit for marriage! So many! Good women who aren't materialistic do exist...I know a few in my family.
