Also wanted to mention it's a good idea to have an external hard drive! It will keep your laptop clear and your adobe programs running smoothly if you keep all your big files somewhere else!

File organization and what to send was SO helpful for me! My not knowing how to manage digital files was one of the big things stopping me up! Thank you so much.

thank you so much for creating this series! you've answered so many questions that I feel as though people who are further into their careers don't think are necessary to share, down to what types of files to send, so thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us

omg this actually saves me. i was just got my very first client for a logo and packaging design project and i had no idea what i'm supposed to do to get started.. i got so panic recently that they will feel that i'm inexperienced and unprofessional😂 this is a terrible feeling because i enjoy making designs and illustrations so much as a habit and it's a dream come true to actually have someone willing to pay me to design for them. they have set up a weekly zoom meeting with me to catch up, and i had no clue what to do in those meetings.. do i just show them whatever i have done at this point and ask for their opinions?

Hey Paola! Is it normal practice to turnover the editable/source files to the client or just the finished product?

I can relate completely. Fun fact, I have a mild version of OCD and every file is sorted like a library.

Hi Paola, I wanted to ask - how long do you need to keep project files on your hard drive or PC before removing them permanently ?
