EXCELLENT ADVICE!! It’s always good to communicate your concerns to a stylist even though a good stylist can spot these things during the consultation…it’s much appreciated 👐😉

The advice that women wear short hair in middle age and beyond has more to do with hair thinning as we age. Long, thin, gray hair just looks stringy and witchy. Those who are genetically blessed with thick hair can wear any style.

Thank you for making me feel more empowered in communicating with the stylist! You taught me "tapered and beveled" vocabulary!

Thanks for the video, Tanja. Great suggestions. I have the same cowlick and also use those tricks to try to cover it.

You know, it never occurred to me to tell a hairdresser about my cowlick. I thought it was obvious, I guess! And I knew exactly who you were talking about from the Golden Bachelor. I envied her long gray hair!

My hair INSISTS on parting in the middle. I hate it because I have a big tall forehead. Any ideas? Products or cut advice?

Hi, You could try training it to part differently when wet blow dry it the direction you want it to go and maybe use clips for awhile until its trained into place. If you dont have bangs ask your hairdresser for suggestions on bangs and what style of bangs based on your face shape and your hair texture. This will help create balance regarding forhead. Hope that helps 🙂
