I'm traveling now & it's amazing how super casual people are while flying! I understand they want to be comfortable,but you can still feel comfortable, look nice , warm & move about easily in proper clothes & shoes. I wore soft, relaxed cream pants with a peachy cream thin sweater & flat brown leather shoes from Another Sole (the cutest most comfy flat shoes ever!) I felt comfortable, warm, & elegant while on an international flight. It's possible ladies!

I love silk so much, especially in lightweight knits. I buy a few timeless silk items every month with my wardrobe budget, instead of lots of fast-fashion, synthetic-fiber items.

I have an old pair of slim, nylon-knit pants that I love the cut of, but the fabric and color (too dark) aren’t that good. I’m looking for someone to copy them in silk knit fabric in the colors I really want. One of my favorite characteristics of silk is that it’s very breathable, unlike the nylon of these pants.

I guess it depends on how long your flight is… if you’re just on a couple of hours ride, to me it would be totally fine! But if I knew I was getting on a longer haul flight, I’d simply add a wrap or cardigan and would be good to go 😉

Thank you for addressing the visual problem of our times - people in lounge wear at airports. I always wonder, where are all the well dressed people, are they hiding in business class lounges (where I wouldn't see them😅)? Ahh and those bespoke pants, you can see the perfect fit in an instance!

hi mariana I have a quick question, as a subscriber who's comparatively on the younger side (I'm 17) I face a problem quite a lot when I shop, I want to purchase quality items, and they are expensive but im not sure whether my taste will remain the same 5 or 10 years down the line or id like the pieces then and I'm, not a massive fan of the capsule wardrobe as to me it feels very strict but again I don't want to buy fast fashion as it just looks cheap can you help me out with my dilemma?

Hi Arya! It really depends on your budget, but buying quality classics is a sure way to get a return on your investment. First thing you need to do is focus on getting great-looking essentials - so not a capsule wardrobe per se, but just the basics you’ll wear forever, independent of style or taste changes. Then you can be more flexible when it comes to occasion wear or trendy pieces (remember to have fun and enjoy fashion!). A perfectly cut white shirt can really elevate the look of a less premium pair of jeans, for instance. Or for an evening out, a feather top from Zara can look fabulous with tailored palazzo pants and a well-fitted black blazer. Also, we’re super lucky to live in a time where a lot of “mid-level” brands deliver quality without being exorbitantly expensive. Massimo Dutti, Sézane and COS, for example, are all focused on more timeless design and better materials at accessible prices. And then there’s the vintage market that opens a lot of doors in terms of quality vs. price. Hope this helps 😉
