Excellent video, imo I like to think that Enemy Retreating motif is most like a Vengeance motif because it plays in Trial by Fury in a hard way, in Axis it sounds a bit like being scared, like Axis, and in Zenith being that now Martlet is totally decided to punish you for what you have done but starting to get weaker

Just came across this video. I’m glad to see that Undertale Yellow has been getting more analysis videos because it’s a really neat fangame. I do have to agree that UTY definitely focused more on the actual prejudice side of things Undertale first proposed, and the Genocide/Vengeance route and the conflict with Ceroba and her family in the Pacifist route handled it pretty well in my opinion. Excellent work here!

Whether it was an accident or self-defense that is still “killing” them. At the end of the video I go over the possibility that it was out of self-defense or something like that as well

@@T0B3573R I’m pretty sure it’s directly called the “Snowdin Massacre” in the game by Chujin, and Martlet comments on how something similar to what Clover does in the vengeance route has happened. It seems strongly implied that monsters were killed in this event.

@@kamera1890 Is it not possible that Chujin heard that because the monsters thought the human was completely in the wrong during the situation, because Chujin himself said that he wasn’t there when Kanako could have gotten hurt, and also Kanako did not look or act traumatized in the slightest after the attack. That coupled with Chujin’s prejudice against humanity makes me believe that it might have been an overstatement made by monsters to justify the human’s death, or attacking them. Martlet wasn’t there during or when the attack took place, so she might also be a perceiving the event as different than how it actually happened. I seriously don’t think the human killed any monster to completion, and probably attacked in self defense and ran away into Waterfall. There is even an unused echo flower near the place that their ballet shoes were found, and it says, “I can’t keep running..” the trait of Integrity means to follow your morals to the very end, and if the soul thought that self defense and confrontation is the correct answer when confronted with people who are trying to hurt you, it wouldn’t make sense for them to run away. Unless, I don’t know.. maybe they had no choice or intention to hurt any monsters, and when the choice presented itself to get away, the human chose the latter option. Though, the context of the human saying, “I can’t keep running” could be interpreted differently. It could be the human saying, “I’m too tired to keep on running..” or, “I can’t avoid this any longer, I need to confront this.” Which eventually led to Chujin using Axis to murder the human. I just think it’s important to believe in innocent until proven guilty in these types of situations.. also.. Clover is capable of killing Axis when they are LV. 1, (Though it is a little difficult) so the human, definitely had the means to fight back against Axis. But, y’know, Axis didn’t die. And Axis clearly does not want to fight Clover, and even says, “I didn’t want to..” when Clover vaporizes him. So, there is a ton of evidence saying that the soul of integrity did not want to fight people, and simply avoided conflict at every opportunity during the canon timeline. The truth was probably lost to time and changed to fit the status quo of villainizing human’s so they can justify their deaths. I don’t know why Dalv wanted to fight the human, though.

@@T0B3573R I mean, I guess the entire Snowdin massacre could be a big conspiracy theory, but I really doubt this. Even in Undertale, there’s evidence that Integrity did kill monsters given the fact that the Old Tutu is described as “Dusty,” and the Ballet Shoes have the description of making you feel “Dangerous.” In general I just don’t see why the Snowdin Massacre would just amount to a conspiracy theory basically; The game never tries to hint at this, and monsters are generally portrayed in a tragic light within the game, so I don’t see why this massacre would just be conjecture to justify disliking humans / take their souls.

What do you mean the fallen humans were not innocent because... they killed monsters? Are you not aware that the monsters were chasing them to kill them? The kids were just defending themselves. Clover was not wrong in trying to save these kids or attempting to bring justice to Asgore, there was never a moment where they "learn" that they shouldnt have tried to do that, which is why the pacifist ending is so stupid. Clover went so far to be better than the monsters just to forget their mission and reward the literal MURDERER of those kids. Complete injustice. Thats why i see Flawed Pacifist as the true ending. Even though Clover dies anyway, they attempt to TRY and defeat Asgore once and for all while not losing their dignity in the process, THAT is justice, that is understanding the struggles of the fallen children while still seeing the monsters as individual people.

@@mechamedegeorge6786 We know nothing about the other fallen humans so we don’t know if it was self-defense or not. The blue-soul human caused evacuations along with the “Snowdin attack” apparently, they’re not really painted as innocent victims only attacking out of self-defense.

​@@kamera1890We DO KNOW. If it wasnt then Toriel (and likely everyone) would be dead, and during the game ending we see that Asgore felt bad about his actions and the killing of children which wouldnt make sense if they were murderers.

@@mechamedegeorge6786 I am not arguing that they are ruthless killers or something like that, I’m arguing that they were not all guaranteed to be pure pacifists who did nothing wrong. The blue-souled human attacking monsters at the very least shows to Clover that they cant be seen in a narrow-minded black and white fashion morally. It’s also weird to completely assert that we actually know they haven’t killed, because it’s all left very vague. Just because a human has killed monsters before doesn’t mean they have to wipe out the entire race?
