Great video man. Been tattoing for about 4 months now on fake skin. When I slow down my hand speed I notice more wobbly lines. Took your advice about matching the voltage to my hand speed. Turns out 8.8 seems to be the sweet spot. Lines look more crisp and clean. Appreciate all your videos. They help me out alot!

Your channel is the best iv found. Little question, iv had many tatts and had some real scabby ones but the shading iv done doesnt seem to scab as bad,but the ink is in and healed...whats with that? What voltage for a coil tattoo machine ?
@bjj212 жыл бұрын
My pen machine has a liner and shader port on it. Voltage is up and down buttons. What the heck does switching the cable and machine L/S, liner to shader, actually do?? I'm assuming this doesn't change the stroke.. and what voltage do you color pack with? Or is that same as "shading"? Thanks man!
@verenafichter5476 Жыл бұрын
It's if you have 2 machines one set for lining and one for shading...you usually run a lot higher for shading and packing color

Bro help me out. I got Inkjecta for the shop. I can’t get it shade below 13v. I’m not used to running machines so high. Lines okay at 10.5v but shading, I gotta jack it way up. Is this normal ?
@truckdrivermm2 жыл бұрын
This video helped but my power supply just shows the voltage it's a higher end power supply but have to go off of sound of machine. But my main question would be my first time on fake skin went good my attempt for first time was good. Second time I used a different traditional machine and it was horrible nothing was going right and just got discouraged really quick. I ended up getting 2 pen machines and a rotary bc of a blackfriday deal but I guess the unpleasant time I had on my 2nd attempt on fake skin still lingers with me and haven't tried since then. Is it normal for a beginner to be hard on yourself. I mean I'm really hard on myself bc my dream is to become a tattoo artist and I want things to go smoothly but more times than not it doesn't so I had to pause for the cause and do something else until I calm down. I know traditional machines are more difficult learning on than pen style or rotary. My pen style and rotary machines run off of a power supply not wireless. I guess I'm rambling on but hope you get the point. Any suggestions about not being to hard on one's self so I can feel more comfortable practicing my line work. I mean someone can draw great but if you can't run clean lines and all the other technical aspects of tattooing then its defeating the purpose. Sorry for rambling on great video.

Hey bro, I was the same when I started out. Brutally hard on myself to the point where it started to affect my mental health. While this does force you to improve quickly its not a sustainable way to keep motivated. If you are doing fake skin then there are no consequences to making mistakes. just focus on getting 1% better each day and in a year you will be 37x better than you are now. Rome wasn't built in a day, tattooing is marathon not a sprint when you realize that it takes a ton of the pressure off and make the journey far more enjoyable.

Same here. I was really hard on myself because it felt like I wasn’t getting better. Then I heard someone say enjoy the process. And although things get frustrating I remind myself to learn to enjoy the process. Keep it up and keep grinding towards your dreams.

If you need a video to tell you what voltage to tattoo with just stop. This is a ridiculous notion. When you are skilled you know the sound and feel period. If your not skilled get an apprenticeship
@LindsayClark-hh3qk4 ай бұрын
You do understand that all of his videos are tutorials right? If everyone here knew everything there would be no need for the videos. Not everyone wants to go work in a shop, or get to a professional level. Go be an ass somewhere else. I'm sure you knew exactly how to do every aspect of tattooing as soon as you picked up a machine right?
@nonechitishvili70764 ай бұрын
I think apprenticeship is the reason some watch the video bro💀
@LindsayClark-hh3qk4 ай бұрын
@@Routing_for_sanity it's pretty apparent that these videos are for the "self taught" artists. If everyone knew everything about tattooing already I don't think there would be a need fort he videos to begin with. Not everyone wants to go work in a shop and do this every day as a career. I just enjoy it and wanted something to do on the side. I am willing to bet that the first time you picked up a machine you didn't fine tune it to exactly the voltage needed nor did you know immediately the correct hand speed and depth. It's a learning process and these videos are to help people get there. No need to be rude about it.

@@nonechitishvili7076 if you need this video with an aprenticeship😆 your mentor is a joke so lets stop the bs. 1 in 10 maybe more of beginner tattooers today say “why would i work for free” when they ask how do i become a tattooer, you must be in denial my friend.
